I love where this is going. Things are not rushed and very realistic. I think it portrays friends falling in love very accurately. How getting used to someone can lead you to ignore your feelings and start feeling too comfortable. You unconsciously bury any feelings that might lead to a significant disturbance in the long term relationship and in turn protect yourself from getting hurt. You avoid any risks that may lead to failure and end up being stuck where you are not moving forward or backward. This state of limbo is a recurrent theme throughout the show. It applies to all aspects of their lives be it their careers or their love life and when they start to take a step forward in one aspect the other gets affected as well and starts desiring more as everything is interconnected. I think this has more depth than it lets on.
