This reminds me of a relaxing slice of life anime, and I AM LIVING
Look, if you find the MFL super annoying, I get it. She's not for everyone, but she is very far away from being the worst FL character I've ever seen. In fact, Su Qiao is one of the most charming in terms of her character arc. She obviously plays the guide main lead because she clearly knows her small village like the back of her hand, and she won't let anything go astray in it, no matter what. Then you have the MML, Lin Zilu. Oh boy, was he a piece of work at first. Started out as a jilted pompous idol when he runs away to this small village to get away from his overbearing father and grows up to rediscovering his passions and loosening up a bit, no matter how much Su Qiao annoys him (although it's less annoying and more she's teaching him how to be a respectful gentlemen out in the country).
This show doesn't exactly have an overarching plot, but I wasn't really looking for one when going into this. I was looking for some comedic adventures with a cozy group of characters in a quaint Chinese village, and that is exactly what I got. Seriously, the majority of these episodes are absolutely hilarious. The side characters completely steal the show, and I love them all. If you're not up to this cozy kind of thing, I understand. Maybe I might be rating this show too high, but this review is my truth, and I'm sticking to it.
