The Most Wholesome Reality Show
Safe House is one of GMMTV's best ideas and was an absolute joy to watch. The cast they chose to debut this concept was phenomenal and it was great seeing them all get closer to one another over their 7 days spent together. The fact that there were no eliminations involved and the show instead focused on point-based challenges made for a relatively stress-free environment. The beauty of Safe House is that you not only get to see your favorite actors participate in goofy challenges, but you also get to see a different side of them and get to see them form close friendships in real-time. The moments where they would just sing together or joke together were highlights in my stressful day.I would definitely recommend watching Safe House even if you don't speak Thai. It will leave you with a warm feeling in your heart regardless.

Fun and Dumb
Fish Upon the Sky is a comedic drama that is definitely not meant to be taken seriously. For all its strengths (comedy, great actors, an OST that slaps) futs falls short on one crucial aspect of storytelling which is, well, the story itself. The main couples' relationship is sloppily told and emotionally concerning at times. The pacing of their storyline is horrendous and leaves many issues unresolved until the very end. It also feels at times as if the writers weren't quite sure what the cause of their conflicts were as explanations tended to change throughout different episodes. In terms of storytelling, futs is a hot hot mess.
So, why is it still getting a 6.5 from me? Well, it's genuinely so funny and endearing. The side pairing of Duean and Meen was handled incredibly well, especially in comparison to the many things Mork and Pi were put through. I laughed until I cried so often while watching this show. I went into it wanting something light and funny and, for the most part, that's exactly what I got. Many things didn't make sense and this show had such potential to have a phenomenal story but I cannot deny that I enjoyed myself every single episode.
If you are looking to have a lot of fun, see one of the best sibling relationships I've seen on a drama in a while, and aren't looking for a cinematic masterpiece, this show might be for you. For all its faults I don't regret any time I've spent watching it. Thank you for the laughs futs, I'm wholeheartedly looking forward to a season 2.

A Must Watch
This show begins, ends, and stays extraordinary all throughout. The story and characters will pull you in instantly. As someone who isn't usually a fan of love triangles, this one is done in such a beautiful and loving way that I found myself only wanting the best for everyone. This is a story of first love, but in the forefront stands the friendship shared between the main cast. I am awestruck by how much love and care was put into this production and genuinely have nothing bad to say about it. From the OST to the acting to the storytelling, Light on Me is truly a representation of the best Korean BLs and Korean dramas, in general, have to offer.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A Diamond in the Rough
This series isn't anywhere close to as bad as people make it out to be. I was really putting off this one because of all the bad reviews but wow did I end up loving it. Drake and Frank delivered such an amazing performance as Mork and Tee and really captured what it's like to be young, dumb, and inexperienced in love. Neo and Phuwin also added such a sweet storyline to the overall plot.I will admit that this show has the potential to be confusing if you have not read the novel. I do not agree with important information that was omitted from the series and the non linear storytelling at the beginning that really worked against the series and not in it's favor. I took a tip I saw of reading the YouTube comments for more clarification at the end of the episodes and honestly they kept me on track so that I could fully enjoy the story.
Should you have to put so much work into figuring out a show? No not really, but with this one I'm glad I did because it was so worth it. I'm someone who enjoys a good story above all else so once I was able to understand the story, all other issues weren't such a problem for me.
Speaking of issues, I gave it a lower score because the production is anything but professional. If you are a very picky drama watcher do not be surprised if this series is not for you. There was a scene where there was literally a jumpcut, and a good handful of public scenes where the audio mixing was so terrible it sounded like someone was flushing a toilet near my ear and shuffling around items in the background. A real shame that this show's production suffered when the cast had so much to offer. The writing from time to time could also have been better as they adapted things from the novel.
All in all, if you know you're someone that values a good story and good characters above all else, and are able to put in a little bit more effort too understand it all, do not let yourself miss out on this show. It really warmed my heart and the rewatch value is also high.

Strong Start, Meh Ending
I was so excited for this drama when it first started. The attention to detail for the early 2000s setting really added to the fresh feeling this BL had. Most of the cast may be first time actors, but they all gave their absolute best to their roles and you can feel the love and heart put into this project. Title was especially wonderful as Nut and his chemistry with his costar Man as Phob was great.Good vibes, pretty decent acting, a strong start... so, what went wrong? One word: flashbacks. This show was plagued by far to many similar flashbacks that sometimes added nothing to the scene and took away valuable time that could have been used for storytelling. Because of it's short run time, the story of Phob's and Nut's relationship felt extremely underdeveloped. Not to say their feelings felt rushed because they weren't. Them getting together made sense. But we didn't get to see anything beyond that really after such a crucial time in their lives where Phob was going through such a big change.
The finale was disappointing to say the least. It felt like a music video montage and had an unnecessary time skip that ended on a cliffhanger. So, season 2 maybe? This series felt a bit too much like it was trying to be a mysterious indie movie with an ambiguous ending but kind of flopped in that area.
Despite this I still think it's worth the watch. Like I said, it just feels like a production with a lot of love and passion behind it and often times it left me feeling warm. I congratulate the cast on their performances and hope they all continue to have a bright future ahead of them in the acting industry.

Good in Theory
I was so excited to watch the show and had finally gotten around to it after a month of thinking about it off and on. I have to say that I expected a bit more out of this show. It isn't bad and there are a lot of good moments in it but there are some parts of it that I felt really brought the show down.I will say I love the way this show represents queer culture and relationships. It's a breath of fresh air in that regard and the couples all seem so real and natural and have great chemistry. Kai as well is so adorable and it's obvious that his parents love him.
While the cast is amazing, the story is really lacking in points. I personally didn't much care for the Jerry hides his 6 year relationship and child from as many people as possible bit. Even when his parents both did find out it was really kind of anticlimactic. The whole Jeremy storyline at the very end was also such a weird cliffhanger and it's honestly ridiculous that Damian just didn't bother to mention his child was coming over???? I'm assuming he just found out he had a kid over that phone call but no matter how hard it is the worst option has to be letting the kid show up and not explaining anything to your partner. It's just very strange.
A great concept with a great cast that really just needed better writing.

Funny & Heartfelt
This drama was absolutely stunning. At first, the premise seems kind of strange, but the show executes the idea so well.Adachi is a lovable protagonist who manages to be funny but also has his serious and heartfelt moments. His development with his love interest is beautiful and has appropriate pacing. The side couple may not get as much development in their love story and the feelings can feel a bit sudden, but Tsuga's over-the-top dramaticism really makes all of their scenes extremely entertaining. The side characters were all so amazing as well and are so supportive to the main cast. I genuinely have nothing bad to say about this drama. It's wormed its way into my heart and into my top 3 dramas of all time.

A Sweet Found Family
Having watched Antique Bakery back in the day, I had some idea of what I was getting into. I anticipated that this would be a wild slice of life drama that pivots rapidly between moments of absurdity and seriousness and that's exactly what Baker Boys delivers. It sticks quite a bit closer to the original manga and I personally enjoyed that.Throughout the episodes, I really came to care for these 4 men who came together to work at Sweet Day, and found a family where they least expected too. Each character has their own issues and past trauma they bring to the table, and as a family they support each other through their journies. There are some really funny moments, some absolutely heartbreaking moments, and some downright absurd moments, but this drama stays entertaining all throughout.
Forgiveness is a heavy topic within this drama and I have to say this is something it at times does not execute particularly well. Forgiveness and what you're willing to forgive is a very individual thing and so I'm sure this specific topic is bound to divide many audiences. Definitely something to be aware of when considering whether to watch or not because depending on your views on these types of things, these aspects of the show could get annoying fast. Also, something to be aware of again is how this show juxtaposes very serious topics with humor in adjacent scenes. This may not be an appealing concept for everyone and may feel jarring for some.
All in all, I knew what I wanted for this show and it delivered that to me. I love the Baker Boys found family and the wonderful vibe of Sweet Day Cafe.

Refreshing BL Series
I genuinly have nothing bad to say about this show. I was a bit slow getting into everything the first two episodes, but by episode three i was hooked. This story hit all the emotional beats flawlessly and nothing felt unnecessarily drawn out or rushed. The pacing was perfect. The development of their relationship was so realistic and I was stunned at how well relationship issues and family issues were portrayed. Every character had their flaws but they weren't overwhelmingly negative just real. This feels like a BL made with LGBTQ+ people in mind and just felt like a wonderfully put together story that was handled with care.
The only small criticism I had was towards Cairo's acting at the beginning but that may just be personal preference and didn't actually change how much i enjoyed the story at all. I thought his acting got better towards the middle and end anyway. That for me was so easy to look past though and that's why I'm giving this a 10 regardless. This is definitely worth the watch.
