This story revolves around 4 main characters:

YONGEN who was raised by her cold hearted dad, an evil stepmother and evil half sister, she only hoped to leave this toxic household, get married and experience love.

QIJUN who was raised and educated abroad did not believe in arrange marriage

TINGXUAN who was very ambitious and arrogant. He only believes in money and power and did not believe in love

LAIFU (My favorite character) He is an innocent, pure and a caring man, his character will make anyone fall in love with him

Yongen and Qinyun were engaged through their parents since childhood but did not grow up together. Qinyun was westernized and cancelled his engagement, only to find out that the girl is someone he already fell for. (Love at first sight). Brokenhearted , Yongen ran away from home and met Laifu. They fell in love with each other. Qinyun continues to pursue Yongen but Yongen have been firm with him that she doesn't want to have anything to do with him.

Later on Tingxuan met Yongen and pursued her too and realized at the end what love is. The ending is happy and satisfying. The story had a lot of twists and turns, production and set errors including the set staff not paying attention to details on what jade someone should have (you'll know what I mean if you pay attention).

****BIG SPOILER**** Tingxuan and Laifu are TWINS. Damn this made me cry even more when I found out he is not the same person.

Moral lessons, pain, love, forgiveness, revenge, and a lot of regrets is the theme of this drama. I watched 20 hours in a row on second day of watching and finished on third day. I loved it
