Great actors, badly aged writing
So I wanted to watch a spooky drama for the spooky season and I've had this one in my list for a while. Park Bo Young is one of my absolute favorite actors and she does not dissapoint in this one either. Although you can see my score isn't that high for this one. Overall I think it's a great concept BUT I don't think it has aged very well. The ghost comes on veeerrryy strong and in 2023 it's kinda hard to watch TBH. This is being justified in that she is a desperate ghost and does not think about anything else but they really paint it as fun and innocent... On the other hand the character Na Bong Seon is the polar opposite, really shy and has no self confidence whatsoever which just makes both the characters very annoying at a start. However they do become better and even likeable as the story progresses. It's very impressive playing two characters and a chracter playing another character etc. It goes meta and Bo Young really does a stellar job. I think what makes me not like this drama so much is the writing which hasn't aged well. Watching it with comments on on Viki really got me through it at times but the last couple of episodes were really enjoyable. Would I watch it again? No, I even thought of dropping it at times ngl but the actors and the stunning corgi kept me in it. Characters that pulled through was the Shaman character, the mom and the restaurant gang. The leads were a lot at times. So actors did an amazing job, concept great, writing not aged good. Those are my thoughts. Feeling warm about the drama now as I just finished it but I also remember the journey... Of to watch Daily dose of Sunshine now. ☀Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Ga Gyong and Cha Hyon theory
This drama popped up in my world a lot and I finally came to watch it. This drama really shows strong women and deep relationships. The three leads Bae Ta Mi, Sun Ga Gyung, and Cha Hyon are all businesswomen who threw away everything in the chase of success. After all of the hardships, they've been through, all three stay true to themselves and help others to achieve their goals. Just like how Bae Ta Mi brought Ah Ra and Joseph with her.I don't really know what to say in the romance area. The main characters Cha Hyon and Ta Mi both had much younger love interests which sometimes fit weirdly but here it felt normal. You could tell the difference of what stages of life they were and their maturity. I guess that the writer wanted to portray these strong leads in a way powerful men are. Well, I just thought it was kind of refreshing seeing more "modern" relationships.
Now, my theory on Cha Hyon and Ga Gyong. So, anyone else who felt a moment between them outside the restaurant in the beginning? I first thought they were going to get together but then realized they had other plans. But in my heart, Ga Gyong was Cha Hyon's first love and that's why she sees Ga Gyong with such rose-colored glasses. However either Ga Gyong didn't know or didn't feel the same towards Cha Hyon, or she obviously couldn't follow her feelings due to her tormenting family and circumstance. The relationship that started blooming between her and Jin-Woo seemed to be one-sided (as he also points out). We thought they would have a moment but they never did. He wanted to make it work with her but she didn't feel it. So is it only because of the trauma he is connected to or is there something more? Anyone else thought about this theory? If it's true I love the representation and if not we can pretend. I guess that's the beauty of art.
In all it's a drama worth watching if not for the thought-through narrative of corruption and spying on the internet then for the relationships. And if not that, then really good OSTs.

This surpassed my expectations by miiiiles
Oh MY GOD I did not expect thr reaction I had at the ending. Starting this drama I expected a horror/ thriller drama by the book with all the typicall tropes but I was in for a riiide. There's not only the experimantation but also the true horror of the Joseon people (which is similar to certain timely events) and this drama really depict the hurt the people go through. I've watched dramas about this era and fight before but this one took the dark perspective. I love the perspective of not blaming the people's acctions they did in order to survive and that it was about a fight together and not wasting their time with little disputes. Just wow. I need to let this sink in for a while. I still have questions about the ending so if you wanna discuss I will discuss. Okay. See you for season 2 this year and if you haven't watched season 1 yet, don't sleep on it too long. Just blew me away.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
This deserves more praise
So I've seen some people here being disappointed but I really loved this drama. I was so excited for new episodes every week and I loved the characters! There's some real couple goals in this one and I'm not necessarily pointing towards the main story. The character Gwan Nam is such a great representation for the lgbtqia community. His personality doesn't revolve around being the gay one or being feminine solely because he's gay. There's also a depiction (even though it's brushed over at times not to make it too serious) of the struggle of being a gay man in Korea. I was glad by the character he was.So if you like dramas with romance, some mystery and humor I would really recommend this one. It's definitely worth a watch. And stop judging women for their looks. You never know what a person goes through, reviewers. okay thanks. Go watch it! 🥰🥰
