You’ll either love or hate it depending on whose side you’re on

I was on Sunoh’s side so I absolutely hated it. Season 1 made me angry but I really hoped season 2 would make it all better...It didn’t. What a complete disappointment. Out of all the dramas I’ve watched, I’ve only hated a few characters and Kim JoJo is neck and neck with “average” Oh Hae Young for the number two spot, just under the MIL in Something in the Rain.

First of all, the entire premise of the show is just dumb. I knew this season 1 but I kept high hopes until the end because I loved the chemistry between JJ and Sunoh. Why does Kim JoJo need an app to tell her how she feels? And why is Hye-young so stupid and have such low self esteem to accept the fact that his girlfriend doesn’t have genuine feelings for him? Who does that?! Regardless of the fact that they ended up together (which was the trajectory, clearly shown from the beginning of the season), I still don’t believe Kim JoJo actually wanted to be with Hye-young. She just made herself like him for whatever reason.

Hye-young vs Sunoh

I am NOT a fan of HY. He’s the typical guy who has a secret crush on a girl but too afraid to speak up. Along comes his ‘friend’, Sunoh, the new, cool guy that everyone likes. He sets his sights on the girl HY already mentally claimed as his and immediately goes after her, as he should have. HY proceeded to feel some type of way because his friend seemed to have won “his girl” and eventually gets the courage to confess his feelings. Eye f’ing ROLL! He should’ve left well enough alone and moved the hell on but no. He decided to be persistent and “nice guy” his way into JoJo’s heart. I’ve never rooted against a second male lead so hard. Which brings me to my next point. I did not like how writers made the second male lead the first in the second season. It did not work and I don’t ever want to see it again unless the 2ML is like Baek In Ho from Cheese in the Trap.

Yuk Jo
I liked her character, especially when she broke up with Sunoh because she knew he wasn’t that into her. She did what Hye-young should have done. But then she tried to get him back. Wth? Sunoh only went back because he had lost JoJo and the audience is supposed to be ok with that?! Yuk Jo is a rebound who deserves better.

Duk go
Ugh. Hated him the first season and hate him still. Glad he got a much better haircut though.

Overall, I did not enjoy this drama at all. My blood was boiling from beginning to end.
Sunoh did not deserve the outcome he got. He was hurt and I felt that. Nothing was explained well or resolved properly and Kim Jojo is a liar. She is a major AH for what she did to him and that is unforgivable.

Trash.
