This drama isn't overrated

So, I've read a lot of comments saying this drama is overrated and complaining about the storyline being too "boring". Now, this mihgt be my opinion but I honestly feel like this is one of the best dramas that has ever existed and if you and if you generally aren't into k-dramas that much, trust me, you'll find yourself hooked on this.

This is very different from usual k-dramas, you don't find a k-drama talking about war, featuring blood or focusing on action as a genre in general.

The plot was amazing, k-dramas usually drag it so much you inevitably get bored at some point and end up skipping some parts of the show if not dropping it all together. Descendants of the Sun maintains a costant pace and not even a second could be considered boring as it's always filled with hooking moments and suspence which makes you wants to keep on watching the show even more.

As I was watching this series I took a moment to analyze the acting and if I told you that I got shocked... These are probably some of the best actors I've ever seen in k-dramas or dramas in general. They usually do too much and it always gets cringy at some point, mainly because of the female lead who just cries way too much or is simply annoying. And I'm not sorry for saying so because in my opinion, most dramas have always got the same damn plot. (Female lead bumps into male lead, love at first sight for the fl, she starts pursuing the ml, she cries at least 3 times in every single episode, at the end they get together and it's so cringe cause it's so unrealistic and they are just overdoing it too much with the acting). You can see that in Dots the chemistry between the fl and ml is pretty strong and you find yourself also hooked on the love story between the side characters. You find yourself in unison with the actors and you can clearly feel every emotion through their expressions.

The music is nothing else but perfect. When romantic scenes appear the music just fits so well, you find yourself smiling at the screen. And some of you might find those romantic scenes a little bit too cheesy but I don't think so. I like the fact that the ml and fl are straightforward with their feelings and the fact that their conversations are always full of inside jokes and humor makes the moment pretty cute and not tooth rotting.

If you are not that much of a fan of romance like me and are easy to cringe, I don't think this drama is going to be a problem for you and you'll find yourself enjoying it and actually feeling sad once it's over. You'll find yourself admiring the directing and longing for more cute convo scenes between the characters. Also, the English in this drama is literally perfect and before you starts judging you should remember that they are not native speakers, so if you feel like they are stretching way too much the words, they are really not. I had no problem understanding them and I really admire them for those English scenes.

I really recommend Dots and I didn't really know about he existence of the ml before, but after Song Joong ki's killer smile and blubby persona in the first episode, you can't really back out from the series anymore.
