I decided to watch this drama because it’s short (only 8 episodes) so easier to watch if you don’t have a lot of time but it was a bit of a disappointment for me, the storyline was very good (if you like the gumiho stories, which is my case) but I found the romance scenes lacking.

On the plus side the story and the romance between the two leads developed really quickly (due to its shortness), the plot doesn’t include a hundred plot twists so there is no draggy parts and you don’t get frustrated like in usual dramas. The acting was very good, especially the female lead, I found her very convincing and touching. Lee Chun Hee’s acting was a bit awkward at some point but pretty good overall. The additional cast is also amazing and you end up wanting to see more of them. The music was okay, nothing special, you mostly don’t notice it throughout the drama.

As I said I found the romance scenes a bit disappointing: there wasn’t many (again this drama is very short), they could have added one or two sweet scenes between the leads, but the thing that really bugged me was the directing. I mean who films a kiss so close? Seeing a close up of two mouths kissing isn’t sexy, it’s not even heart-warming or touching, it’s just kind of gross (and I can’t imagine the result on a giant flat screen).

This drama was pretty good overall but I suggest you don’t watch it for the romance part, it’s ideal if you’re looking for an easy and short drama to watch, very well played, with a lot of hilarious moments.
