I almost started sobbing in the end really. Based on the description it's not really what you would expect, but in a pretty good way. In my opinion it is more about a daughter learning about the ups and downs of her seemingly unaffected mother who was phased by the deaths of her husband and father in law. Through this we learn what her mother meant when she said, "Goodbyes are easier with the ones dead than those alive." She had her heart broken time again by her loved one saying goodbye and had to put herself back together time and time again making her a character that you pity by the end and maybe mad at her even though you understand why she did what she did.The casting is very great Sandra and Vicky are two talented actresses and we were able to feel everything that they felt especially in the end. One thing I thought awkward was that Qi Yitian was seemingly playing a 20-23 year old but his actor at the time was 30-31 so while watching this all I could think was that he doesn't look like he is in his early twenties.
The music really gets to you in the end and while the lyrics are a bit corny they will tear at your heart. Overall this is a movie that you should watch if you get the chance!! Maybe this won't become your favorite movie but one you can enjoy!!

Came in expecting nothing
To be honest my experience with Korean BLs only tells me that many are pretty bland(for lack of better words). I know that it is still an emerging category for Korean dramas and all of them have been pretty enjoyable especially to watch in between episodes of other dramas I am watching, but this one was great from beginning to end.The summary for this here is a pretty good one, so I won't reiterate it and I think that the best part of this comes from the casting. I think they all acted their roles strongly especially Park Jaechan. Characters that are robotic-like can easily be overacted or underacted if the actor doesn't put enough thought into it, but I think that Park Jaechan did it especially well. You could see his thoughts and actions changing bit by bit throughout the episodes and by the end, he became a more open version of himself. It didn't happen too quickly and his change wasn't overexaggerated just in the small details which makes it even more realistic.
Like I said before I think the whole cast was pretty great, but I wish they could've been shown a little bit more. If the drama was just a bit longer I think that I would rate this drama 10/10. I know that it is based off a web novel that I have not read yet(planning on it), so I don't know if it is possible.
It is only 8 episodes so even if it is not your thing to watch it won't be a waste of your time.

Honestly one of the best
So my headline might be overreacting, but everybody should watch GMA! The storyline was great and I loved how every episode focused on one of the main casts, so we got to know them a little more. I only wished that it was a little longer. Also, I don't count this as a BL, because Love herself is firm that she is a girl and wants to stay a girl, though I think there are LGBTQ+ characters like Tangmo.James acting as Love was the best out of the whole cast and the way he acts as a girl is great; it isn't too cringey or over the top and overall he made my like Loves character even more. The rest of the cast was great too, just I wasn't interested in the Sean/Rose thing. Tangmo was definitely my favorite out of the male leads and his character was just so interesting.
For the music like most dramas it was limited, but the way that they used the song made it more fitting compared to other dramas. Like how they used it for Love and then for Tangmo it was the exact same part but made me feel two different emotions.
I already plan on rewatching it and think that everyone who is here should give it a try!

Starts off Strong, ends with many questions
ProsThe beginning is really captivating. I read the first few chapters of the book and feel that the show is able to make the intro race scene very exciting it also introduces the characters well.
The Charlie/Babe dynamic really works on me hahaha. Kinda hard carries my rating. I enjoy Pooh's portrayal of Charlie even though I do think it is the most different from the book. Though I think there is just a bit too much of shoving/pushing Charlie
Cons/Rant
My biggest gripe is that towards the end there are many plot holes and explanations that add to the confusion
*Spoiler*
For example when Charlie asks Jeff how he knows Reval is because he found him when he tried to escape Tony. This made very little sense to me because my previous understanding was that Charlie and Jeff managed to escape together. Overall it doesn't make me enjoy the show less but the more time I spend thinking about some of the plot holes the more I feel that I can't rate it above a 7/8.
I also don't really enjoy the waterdowned ABO explanation. I know that ABO isn't palatable to everyone, but the explanations that the show gives is a bit confusing. I think it would of made more sense to get rid of the ABO entirely and just say some are born with special powers. Though that would make the pregnancy plot impossible.
Overall I feel like there were also too many characters. I know people are upset NorthSonic didn't happen and I agree. There were just too many characters and not enough time to develop any relationship outside of CharlieBabe and AlanJeff and the confusing relationship between Way Kenta and Pete
I also wish there was more time to resolve issues in the final episode. Like Charlie and Jeff get no punishments for literally faking Charlie's death. Like yeah everything worked out in the end, but seriously no one reacts at all about Charlie not being dead for longer than one minute. In general Charlie is never really punished for his actions,,,
Another thing with Charlie's death is that everybody moved on wayyy to quickly. Like I can understand if they were locking up their emotions to process after they dealt with Tony, but literally no one other than Charlie seemed to care basically the very next day. Especially since all of the AlanJeff scenes happen after Charlie's death. Jeff knows that Charlie isn't dead so him not mourning is fine, but Alan didn't and he wanted to get with Charlie's brother basically right after he died
My review does sound like there are more cons/pros but I did find it enjoyable and cons are just overall easier to write.

Must watch!
A story about almost revenge. Li Jiahe(14) is a good writer that lost her path in life after the death of her mom 3 years ago. She is struggling in everything except literature and after an arguement with her dad she unexpectedly meets her mom's murderer. She follows him around for a couple of days while plotting out her revenge. The casting was great Deng Enxi is definitely a talent to watch!!! No casting choice was particularly bad, but Deng Enxi's emotions stood out the most to me even though I am a little biased. Leon li who played the Male lead was a great actor, but maybe he was too old for the role. I was confused about how old he was supposed to be until I figured out he was supposed to be 17-18. I feel like if they got a Male actor closer to that age than some parts wouldn't feel so awkward since many people around them thought they were a romantic couple.
The music is something I don't really criticize my only criteria is that it doesn't pull me out of the movie which here it didn't but nothing I remember in particular.
I will definitely look forward to anything Zhou Sun puts out cause this was crazy good for a debut!!!
Only thing that might turn off people is there is a lot you will need to figure out for yourself before it is shown so you may be confused at moments.
I definitely recommend this and would watch it again and again.

Story about Closure
Casting really great all of them are good actors no awkward sences or emotions/facial expressions that seem out of place. Zhang Zifeng and Deng Enxi are both really good young actresses that have a bright future ahead of them.Zhou Xin was the best actress in the show most likely due to all of the experience she has had. I felt exactly as she felt especially when Yin Chuan confronted her. Bian Tianyang and Hu Changlin were also both great actors both are young with a great future ahead.
Storyline
Each character had a different story arc that was each very unique to them.
Chenchen was a young boy who did not know how to cope with the loss of his mother and outwardly he seemed fine but inwardly he did not know how to express his emotions and ended up running away claiming he had no home to go to. While he was loved by his aunt and uncle he probably felt like an outcast who only was really able to interact with his grandma. He did not have a proper role model to look up to and as a result he did not know how to act his emotions.
Mumu was Chenchen's older sister and while she is a strong young lady she faced a lot of inward struggle. Her father abused her mother and her as well and when she finally gained the courage to run for help it was too late for her mother who feel into depression and ended up killing herself. All Mumu had to comfort her was her mothers old lovers letters to her who she believed would save her her brother and her mother. While he came too late meeting him gave her some closure and she was finally able to move on.
Saran(probably may favorite character) is Mumu's cousin and Zhihua's daughter who stayed with Mumu to help her through these rough times and they became each other's ride or die similar to their mothers. Saran was a sucker for love and didnt want to return home because she was scared of facing the boy that she liked but after hearings Zhinan's and Yin Chuan's story she decided she would not back down on love. She was a very youthful person that had a great interest in love and Zhang Zifeng played her very well.
Zhihua(my next favorite character at the very least her younger self) is an mature adult with a daughter but was never able to truly express herself the way her older sister was able to. She loved the guy that loved her sister and out of not knowing what to do did not deliver his love letters to her. I really admired how in the end she was able to confess to him even knowing that she would most likely be rejected. I did not really like how she pretended to be Zhinan but she probably wanted someone to vent to and was not able to find a release before talking to him.
Zhinan obviously is not in the movie as an adult but even if she killed herself she was a strong person. I just want to know exactly how she meet zhang chao and how did she fall for him(college prequel???
Yin Chuan a writer who was never able to move on from his first love and never wrote another story. After going to the reunion he thought it was funny how no one was able to notice that Zhihua was not really Zhinan and wanted to catch up with her. I do not really know why he didnt confront her sooner, but probably because he remembered that Zhihua dosen't take confrontion well. I am glad that he was able to move on and gain another idea for his next book.
I like how Zhihua and Yin Chuan never got together. Zhihua; though I do not like her husband, was married with no intentions to divorce him. Though she still acted like a school girl with a crush around him it did not seem like she loved him and overall that would've left a bad taste in our mouths since he was still in love with her dead sister.
Music
Overall not that memorable but i think anything more than what was in the movie might distract the viewers from the storyline.
I would probably rewatch this movie and would recommend people that like closure to watch this movie as well.

Aesthetically Pleasing Poster but disappointing plot
I started watching this because I thought that the poster was very aesthetically pleasing but was greatly disappointed by the end.Story:
I think the mafia genre is pretty standard for a bl, but it feels like it's a mafia story just to be a mafia story. I was confused by all of the mafia scenes until the very end and it all seemed like teens playing mafia rather than the real deal.
-very rant heavy-
Cons
The fact that Bai Zongyi was also 17 throughout a majority of the story is very baffling- like it's not THAT instrumental to the plot. In the very beginning Fan Zerui is all like "he is a kid I can't be with him" but changes his mind about that pretty quickly...
Like the biggest plot-point is that all of this happening made him lose his scholarship and in the end not be able to go to college. It would've been so easy to change that for the book and make him 18/19 and a college freshman. He could still lose his scholarship and be forced to drop out of college and it would've fixed all of the ickiness that came with watching them. I was only able to keep going because Bai Zongyi's actor does not look that young. Like I think he was 20(?) when this was recorded but he still didn't look like a teen. If they purposely made him look younger than it would've been over for me.
I know Ai Di and Chen Yi had an age gap, even though it was only three years, and it was definitely hinted that Ai Di had feelings for Chen Yi even as a minor, but nothing was ever acted on literally until the start of this story.
Also I feel that Bai Zongyi had much more to lose- the power dynamic was never in his favor so it felt much worse.
Sadly the worst part of it all was him being bribed to go to jail for a crime he didn't even commit. Genuinely a jaw dropping moment. I don't think many of us are versed on Taiwanese law, but I would assume that would be a pretty clear self-defense case. I can't help but feel pity for him and his entire family. I know his dad was able to get cured because of the deal but that is probably gut-wrenching to learn that your son will never be able to become a doctor- which up until then was his dream. Though those scenes with his family were the best- acting-wise - in the entire show, actually tear-worthy.
The fake amnesia plot... at that point it felt like we were just checking off tropes. Then we turned into a business, inheritance plotline and it felt like we went of the deep-end.
Pro
BUT the thing I like the most about this story is how when Bai Zongyi got out of prison he realized he didn't want to be a doctor and started up a cafe. Maybe I am reading into this too much, but it is pretty common for people in lower class families to want to be a doctor or a lawyer so they could escape poverty. While that is all commendable, it is sad that many of them have to put their real dreams aside. (Now maybe i really am reading into this too much and Bai Zongyi starting his cafe was just because Fan Zerui liked desserts.) But I like the idea that maybe after he loses literally everything (his scholarship, his way to college, in the end his friends) he realized he should pursue his own dreams.
Also I really liked Ai Di's and Bai Zongyi's friendship. They are really different in almost everything- upbringing, personality, style, etc. but seemed to be natural friends.
I don't know maybe I should've dropped it earlier on, but there was something that I really liked about it. Probably the casting and chemistry and family dynamic.
If you read all of this thank you,,, but I really just wanted to rant.

Fun and Simple
This drama is perfect if you want something simple to watch!! If you like dramas with a fully thought out complicated plot this is not for you!!As a drama consumer between watching dramas that are praised for their head scratching plot occasionally watching something simple helps and this is perfect for that!
The story is simple a gamer and an idol fall in love. While there are a lot of destiny moments that obviously don't make sense in real life it is still squeal worthy and i couldn't stop smiling.
The biggest 2 draw backs for me is the casting of the 2nd male lead. Like he is 50 years old while the main actress is only in her 20s so it definitely made me uncomfortable at times and that weird little redemption that they gave him almost made me throw up.
The music is definently great, but in dramas that star an idol singer that is kinda expected. I will definitely rewatch certain episodes, but most likely never from start to end again!
I have this listed at a 10 for me personally, but i would only recommend this to people that like cheesy dramas.
