Off to a Great Start

My School President is off to a great start, and the whole cast appears to have their roles down perfectly; especially the two leads Fourth & Gemini who clearly have good chemistry going. I also like that GMMTV is returning to it’s roots with a high school BL drama with a nice mix of comedy.

The Episode Advanced the Storylines Significantly

This episode was full of plot twists and no less than three musical numbers. I like that Mikey is finally embracing Art (Prince Zeyn) as his boyfriend, and of course I was thrilled to see Marcus show up at the end of the episode, (I was worried that his character would be killed after helping the prince and his entourage escape in episode one.

A bit rushed, but still quite good

I really liked the series and found the acting, editing and overall cinematography to be very good. I did feel it was a little bit rushed at the end (episode 4) and I don’t understand why Lian got married only to announce that he was leaving his wife of one day for his old boyfriend Kyle. Why did he bother going through with that marriage only to find himself headed for divorce court a dee are y later? Other than that plot point though things went very well with some great acting all around.

An Excellent, All Be It Short Series

This short Filipino BL series is a continuation of Inseparable the Series; which I also liked. The acting was quite good all the way around with several good plot lines to enjoy. My only complaint would be the relatively short length of series; since I would have preferred more episodes; otherwise it was a very good Filipino BL series with a high rewatch value.

The Story Continues to Develop

The background supplied by episode 3 is essential to understand what is taking place in this series; and once again, the acting was quite good all around.

The Plot Becomes More Clear

Episode 2 begins to answer some of the questions the viewers may have had after the first episode; while also introducing additional characters and a few new plot twists. Most of the acting is quite good with excellent cinematography.

Excellent Start to a Great Series

Episode 1 of the Filipino series Beautiful Scars was very good right out of the gate running. It has great acting, a beautiful setting and one of the best production qualities that MLV Films has offered to date.

A very good episode

Episode 7 was very good and it revealed a few plot twists that I didn’t realize. Now I wonder if Marcus truly escaped or was set lose by the evil uncle Jafar. At least now we know that Zeyn’s cousin is actually on his side; choosing imprisonment over helping his father in whatever plan he has. Back to Marcus; it seems clear that he is jealous of Mikey, but beyond that, I don’t know what’s going on. Zeyn is also going to have to tell Mikey that he is a prince soon too; because he might lose him if he feels betrayed. Lastly, the musical numbers in this episode were a mixed bag; with some being good and others, (Uncle Jafar’s crazy song) being quite bad. All in all though, it was a pretty good episode.

The Story is Taking a Different Turn

Episode 5 of Something in my Room definitely introduced a few new elements to the story’s plot, and Phat’s jealousy over Pbob confirms what we learned in the previous episode; where it was revealed that they both had strong feelings for one another. This wasn’t my favorite episode so far, (I think I would rank it behind episode 4 and 1) but it was still quite good.

Possibly the Best Episode So Far

I think this is probably the best episode of “Something in my Room” so far; with the possible exception of the first episode; which was also quite good. Both of the lead actors are great in their parts and the cinematography; along with the writing is excellent.

Loved this episode

I note that there were two musical numbers in this episode, with the second one being an odd choice; given that Kevin was singing a song that suggested Mikey betrayed him; when it should have been the other way around. All the beach scenes were great and it’s obvious that everyone around Mikey accepts Art (Zeyn). There were also a few hints at other potential relationships developing, but we will have to see. Overall, I think this episode was on a pair with episode 1 and just slightly better than episode 3; which focused more on Zerbania; where I hope Marcus (Josh Daniel Santos) isn’t being tortured after he helped Prince Zeyn and his entourage escape to the Philippines.

A fairly good episode

I thought this episode of Rainbow Prince went well, and the show definitely took advantage of the scenery there in Manila in conjunction with Michael giving Art (Prince Zeyn) a VIP tour of the city. Apart from the tour and some funny moments with the show’s drag queens though, there wasn’t much in terms of action in this episode. I hope they give us some more flashback scenes with Marcus (actor Josh Daniels).

Some new twists in episode 3

The more this series takes a step back to explore the events that led up to Prince Zeyn’s escape to the Philippines, the clearer the plot becomes. For example, now I get the significance and sacrifice of the prince’s loyal guard Marcos, who wrestled with those three disloyal guards so the prince could escape with his entourage. Michael’s chat with his two friends at the gym was funny and I certainly liked Prince Zeyn’s little dream towards the end of episode 3. The English was off a bit when two of the supporting characters were chatting, but that is something the show can work on, and after all, the cast’s native language is Tagalog so they are doing fairly well.
