love for the theme, well balance of drama, mysteries, romance, humors.... understanding of friendship, even in the mids of war....well done fighting scenes and actions, great acting from the actors , make this personally very enjoyable to watch and excitingly wait for the upcoming episodes. Basically, this is the story of college students detectives..if I may call them that way:-) Each of them has their own strength, together they were solving the puzzles.The cases were varies, involving many kinds of characters. Without subtitles available, i was using Google Translate app.. so i won't get lost in translation too far:-D
The opening music is one of my favorite part, oh yeah,... the camera was zooming different animals, to mark when they start their journey...pretty cute actually..

Another drama, that i personally underrated at first:-(....i thought this is exactly the Japanese version of Bones.. , again I was WRONG...the only similarity is both heroines are lacking in social interpersonal skill...or, more like they don't care for others. I truly loved the cases and the way they were solved, each episodes taught me something new, either about bones, or relationships, or humans, or creatures...and i can imagine Sakuarako's annoyed figure in anime....like her straight hair would have tangles on the upper part, dark shadow upon her face, with a few thunder sfx surround her :-P btw, the story was different from the anime...

I didn't watch Mr Brain right away after my search for Japanese Detective Dramas mention it, nor after i read it was listed in someone's 10 best Japanese Detective Dramas. I reluctantly watch this after i was running out dramas i wanna watch:-) N I WAS SO WRONG!!!!! Reminds me of CSI and Criminal Minds with different approach... Clever theme ( brain), great casts and famous guest actors n actresses, brilliant cases, good balance in quality and quantity of comedy and drama, n my favou part super kawaii anime that never fails to make me learn n laugh. Almost 10 years passed, I really wish someone consider for a sequel or at least SP, too god to resolve in just 8 eps, so many things left unresolved that an be made into new epsodes:-) All i can say, if you are looking for good CSI likes Japanese Drama, you definitely must watch this, just remember this is 2009's drama..

i love this drama mostly because of Kim So Eun, she was way too cute with Ryu Jin here..an older guy with straight appearance and old fashion mind, but sincere and kind...i really enjoyed the development of their relationship, he may not seem to love her more than she loves him, but the things that he does show his affection toward her. Somehow i prefer dramas from the earlier year, probably from 2009-2014, the ideas of the dramas were much simple,make sense, unlike nowadays, too artificial, over the top, odd (not in a good way)
love this couple much much better than Gab Soon Gab Dol. That's why I can rewatch this
