The movie

I have watched this before back in 2020, I saw an edit and had to do a re-watch for 2023. It is so worth it. I have read both the novel and the manhua. I will say I am disappointed about the censorship of their romance but I guess due to their policies they had to do it like that. The ending at first looks like they go their separate ways (not in the novel, or manhua they go together and I love it), but after Wei Wuxian plays the flute, he turns around wide-eyed, I'd like to think that Lan Wangji came back ;') which is just a perfect ending. Despite the censorship, they snuck in many of the scenes and even in a subtle version which was beautiful.

The bro or friend-zoning part did piss me off ngl but I also think of that as Wei Wuxian at the time not knowing of his feelings for Lan Wangji. Also, Lan Wangji's subtle reaction to it gets me. I would have liked if the author continued more about Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian's reunion ;'( maybe one day they will have their happy ending as best friends again. However, I am happy about how the adaption started and ending despite the censorship of some of the favorite scenes. I could also go to the manhua and re-read that or the novel. I'm glad they made this. I do not think I'd find another relationship like Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian because their characters were so beautiful. Especially what Lan Wangji did when Wei Wuxian was gone for 16 years ;'')

She is so amazing

One of the first Chinese dramas I have ever watched. I remember watching this with my family and being absolutely in love with them and till this day I cannot forget about it. The mother was a piece of work, she didn’t pay attention to her daughter, and caused the whole mess. I feel so bad for the main girl, having both her adoptive mother hate her, her real mother ignore her and even when she had her daughter the main guy and people around her hated her yet she still looked pass everything and tried to forgive them as best she could. The sister was selfish, one of the nastiest characters in history. The ending was absolutely perfect. Who doesn't love happy endings here the bad get what they deserves and the good can finally rest in peace.

Beautiful acting and amazing chemistry

Earthmix did a great job with this. I watched it when it came out and now I am re-watching because I really did like the storyline. It is quite new to me. The acting was so good I got emotional and wanted to fight with Earth, like how could he do that to Mix??? But it’s understandable because I was all a misunderstanding which Mix didn’t clear… I mean Phupha and Tian- Khaotung was in here and Tan was just so funny. I've seen a couple of their EarthMix other shows, I'm not an entire Thai BL fan but I think this was really amazing. I do enjoy some BL shows, some other only including My School President, Bad Buddy and Never Let Me Go. I enjoy these genre's more.

Bro I watched it bcs I watched all boys over flowers from all the countries that adapted it, but so far this was the worst one to exist like ? if you’re want to watch something cringe I guess come here but then again, this was made back then and it’s so old so I guess that’s why it was so popular back then. Some of the guys were kinda nice in terms of acting but some also pretty cringe, but the main girl she... just wasn’t it. I’m sorry but that hair needs a 2025 re-run not even a 2023 ?✋ but I’ll give it some peace since its quite old. Many of the old ones are just plain cringe.anywayyyyyyyyyyys-

Should watch!!!

I really loved this show…. that is if you're like me and just straight out start ignoring the main girl crying almost all the time. At one point even I was crying because she kept on crying. Anyways it was fun, it was serious, it had so much in here and just a lot of drama which I love to see. I really recommend this to first time historical drama watchers because it gives off something at least. And not Soo-ho liking the Queen?? Oh my gosh the scandal!! hehehehehe but it was genuine like he loved her and I was shocked, I mean him liking the kings mom was what??? Unexpected!!! But why they always have to kill the characters we all love!!!! ????

Forget about the body swap and just enjoy!!!! That’s still Win with Korn!!!

Mix getting his period was hilarious. I don’t know why people hate this, actually I do it’s because it was still Lin who Korn was talking to and looking at the whole time, I was very bugged by that! I wished it was Win whom Korn kissed and hugged, but once you ignore that big factor you just enjoy it!! like just forget it because that’s still Win not Lin they just switched bodies! The mother was so selfish for doing that to them I do not forgo her!!! you all may have but I feel so bad! the way she wanted to marry off Lin and Korn when she knew her freaking son loved Korn and even urged them to split up and hate each other!!! that mother was asking for a slap!! yeah I said it, fight me! Anyways I loved it, I enjoyed Sassy Mix on his period so much that I wanted to hit Korn, like how dare he not feed hungry Win?? How dare he not feed our baby who is experiencing being on his period for the first time??????

I really recommend watching this it was so heartwarming and heart wrenching. ????? historical Korean dramas really do hit it so well. also love how he ends up with her and doesn’t choose to become king like this time he travels with the girl instead. which is so adorable BYE. also so glad the side man who liked her didn’t end up being a mf and became the king hehehehehehe so in love with this show. the watchman>>> and even the soldier guy who ends up on their side LOVE IT. everything in here was just so beautiful. I wouldn’t rewatch bcs it’s too long but i watched it and don’t regret

Best if you like fluff and complete heart warming moments

This is the best thing I've watched in a long time. It was simply so pure not chaotic like many other BL's these days. I love the childhood friends to lovers trope and I even gave it a 10/10 wow!!! The chemistry between the two actors is insane and I'm happy they adapted the manga ;') Yeah sure it's so 'unoriginal' as some people on here say but that is literally not the point. It's better than toxic red flag BL's that apparently is normalized these days. The plot was beautiful. And I'm glad they started adapting these kind of stories again. They should do it more. Don't like it? Don't watch it if you're looking for something EXTREME.

This was pure fluff and completely wholesome ;') I hope more like this comes out, something not red flag all the time these days. This is also the only series besides One Piece I can't wait for a new episode. I usually wait until things are completed, this one didn't work, had to watch it immediately since the first episode release. It's worth it guys!

This is after all the reason why I started like BL, because of fluff and heart warming moments like this.
