A big Disappointment!! I hate what they did to Ryu Shi Oh's character.
SWDBS is one of my favorite kdrama but SGN is bullsh*t. I give Strong Girl Namsoon 1 out of 10. Here are the reasons why…Let’s talk about positive things in this drama;
1. This is a Comic drama where I wasn't expecting logic.
2. Min-min couple cameo:
Park Bo Young as Do Bong Soon and Park Hyung Sik as Ahn Min Hyuk are the cutest couple in the kdrama world. Their cameo is the reason for me to watch this.
3. Kim Jung Eun as Hwang Geum Joo mother of Namsoon:
Those who didn’t watch the drama might think that this kdrama is all about Hwang Geum Joo and she is the main lead cuz she lit the screen and we saw her as an ML instead of a supporting character.
4. Fans including me love the villain Ryu Shi Oh aka Byeon Woo Seok:
Yes, He is the villain so he should at least die like a villain and not just a side character. I was disappointed with the writer cuz they didn’t do justice to his character instead killed him pathetically. Cuz of his popularity he could have become the greatest villain of the Kdrama world but writers did him wrong. I wasn't shipping him with Namsoon obviously cuz he is the villain so make him bad but not pathetic, please.
Now the minus points and why fans don’t like this drama much;
1. Lee You Mi aka Kang Nam Soon acting is cringe-worthy:
She gained quite a popularity after the Squid game and All of Us Are Dead. In the beginning of the few episodes she was doing okay but in the middle, her acting was getting more and more cringe. she tried so hard to look cute that she forgot to act and in the last 2 episodes, she was so done with her acting.
2. No chemistry between the main leads:
Their romance was forced and not what we enjoy, they have no chemistry between them. There was also no love triangle cuz she was friendly with Ryu Shi Oh and some fans shipping them. The director and the writers could have made the main lead romance worthy to watch but they failed.
3. Lots of side characters with story and screen time:
My question is why? those characters have zero contribution to the story. There are lots of unnecessary side characters who are given screen time instead of creating chemistry between the main leads.
4. Namsoon's grandmom Gil Joong Gan has a much more interesting love life than her.
5. It’s not only Lee You Mi who did bad acting but other characters also do that and the fact that Hwang Geum Joo throws money on everyone's faces and they just accept it like Namsoon's adoptive mother she won’t even hesitate and happily accept it like a bagger.
7. The whole story roams around a drug case related to a Russian mob group and in the end, they still have not completely resolved it.
8. Creating Ryu Shi Oh emotional backstory with an extremely difficult childhood and then showing that he is doing that to find his friend (in the starting) and in the end, his same friend just came to kill him… is so messed up what writers wanted to do?
9. There were lots of plot holes and things which were not make any sense which we could have ignored if the drama gave us something to ignore.
The only reason for me to watch the whole drama was Byeon Woo Seok and it was so difficult to finish this drama… I had to force myself to watch the last 2 episodes It was unbearable. I give it 1 star please don't make Season 3. I will not watch it!!
I don’t recommend Strong Girl Namsoon even if you are a Strong Woman Do Bong Soon fan.
The Hires 2.0 with fancy aesthetics but predictable plot & lack of Chemistry b/w leads
Let's start with the plot side by side characters;Hierarchy is not about the rich or poor it's about who has more power in this chain, nobody gives a damn about teachers/principal because the school was established by the conglomerate Jooshin Group whose hire is Kim Ri An, that school is his playground, basically what we already see in Boys over Flower, The Hires, F4, Sky Castle, and Penthouse series already. Netflix spends a lot on aesthetics, Fancy cars, fancy backgrounds, beautiful cast, and costumes in the end they don't have much for the script.
Kang Ha (Lee Chae Min): This character has so much potential but the writer be like: no, he is a poor kid, let's make him clueless. A guy who comes to the school to find out who Bullies his brother later leads to his de@th, without any plan. He should take revenge But this is not a revenge plot (wasted). This is the 1st Kdrama I watched where ML became a side character. If he had not been in the story, it wouldn't make much difference. This story is supposed to be about his innocent brother Kang In Han's bullies & k!ller to get punished.
According to the title "Hierarchy" he should be fighting for justice in the system But joke on you, the title didn't justify the bland and predictable plot. Instead, the title should be "Rich Kids Problem" don't get it? Let's meet these 4 real main leads of the story;
Jung Jae I (Roh Jeong Eui): She is a cold & bitchy rich FL, who doesn't want anyone to know she is pregn@nt but she took the pregn@ncy test at his friend's birthday party when the whole school was invited, & didn't show that to her loyal childhood love/bf instead show that to a new friend Kang In Han who is a scholarship student gets bullied by her bf's friends.
Now I understand why she sits on the main poster while everyone is standing. She is the kind of girl who says something & does exactly the opposite.
Jung Jae I: You are my best friend He Ra since the moment we hang out.
Meanwhile: she never even considered her a friend, she didn't even acknowledge her.
Jung Jae I: You can have him (Ri An), I'm leaving for NY. Best of luck.
**A few moments later**
Reach to her farewell Party with her BF
Kim Ri An (Kim Jae Won): The second ML is the actual ML. Everyone is criticizing the plot but like him, he is a green flag? it wasn't his fault if FL didn't tell him the reason and ghosted him for 3 months. In the whole series, the only job he does as eye candy is walk, Ri An walks into the Hall, walks in the rugby field, walks with his sidekicks behind, and is a so-called bad boy who doesn't do anything except for yk what I mean?
His character isn't like Li Min Ho's The Hires where he was a bully, Ri An doesn't give a f**k to anyone he knows his classmates bullying a student because of him but he did nothing. In the end, he apologizes half-heartedly because Jae I said so. The only satisfying scene was when he beat FL's step bro.
Lee U Jin(Lee Won Jung): If you see him in My Perfect Stranger you know he is an excellent actor, but his role there is not that deep you can’t see aside from his looks.
Yun He Ra (Ji Hye Won): Her character is too predictable yet she did well. I think she doesn't really like Ri An, she actually wanted to be Jae I. She was just jealous but she is girls girl in the end.
You don't need enemies If you have friends like them. The plot doesn't have any mystery or thriller, the Main leads don't have any chemistry. Ri An & Jae I also don’t have any chemistry. The Second leads has more chemistry than the MLs. You can understand that* Ri An and Jae I liked each other since childhood but there is no point in Jae I liking Kang Ha when she said in the end that she liked him. The whole time she only liked Ri An suddenly saying this is so unnecessary. What is the point of telling him that?
In the end, if you think that the k!ller is arrested and Ri An admits that he was one of the bullies does it make any change?
Nope! The consequences that are not shown in the drama could be that it will be in your records that you were a bully and you will have fewer chances to be accepted into the prestigious University of SK. But they are the 0.01% of wealthy kids who don't consider those Universities instead they choose to went abroad for further studies.
The Bullies face the authority but Did they get punished?
No, they get back to their life like nothing happened. Imagine someone losing their life because of you and the maximum punishment for you is to went abroad on your Daddy's money. (It's not about Jae I)
Do I recommend Hierarchy?
No! But it's up to you because S1 has nothing to keep you if you have watched the good Kdramas you are not going to like that predictable cliche plot, but if you want to see the cast you could. Instead of watching Hierarchy, you could watch The Hires at least it has a story.
PS: I had a few questions, If Jae I paid Kang Ha's fees for those special classes why didn’t he attend it after she had gone? did she get a refund? maybe he attends separately who knows? Is Rugby popular in SK? This is 1st time I have seen Rugby in a Kdrama. If ML didn’t leak that one video, Ri An mother would also won’t do that, so, how does it leak?
Edit: My prospects for this series changed a lit bit, after seeing the post-credit scene (which I watched after roasting it) Maybe there are 7 more episodes of this series where ML takes revenge for his brother.
Not praising! I like Cha Eun Woo BUT what aBout the Story?
I thought if they part this in 2 seasons maybe they would improve but I was sooo disappointed with the VFX, they didn't improve it! that looks sooo fake...NGL? the monsters look so fake & do they have any brains aside from the Goong Tan?Writers be like: Monsters come to fight with Goong Tan.
Audience: But Why?
Writers: cuz they don't have anything to do, who cares!?
Audience: Okay! But why do they accept a half-human as their leader?
Writers: they don't mind, why do you care?
The whole drama looks like a webtoon (It's based on a webtoon BUT they could have improved it).
The cast was good, and the villain doesn't have any strong motive aside from his personal reasons but the story is not really flowing looks like the writers were also confused about how to drag it... Just because you cast Cha Eun Woo doesn't make it cover for the story!! it would help if you had a good story...
Don't even ask about those repeated scenes from the past... It's so not worth watching!
One word "OverHyped"
Exhuma is a tale of shamanism and exorcizing trauma. The 1st half of the movie sets up an atmosphere for you to get curious about what's waiting for you ahead as you expected they may explain the course of the action but here you get disappointed cuz without explaining the movie went ahead on another dimension of Korean/Japnese flok shamanism from handling the ghost to fighting with an Oni real quick.Screenwriter and Director Jang Jae-hyun specializes in horror movies, and as such, he often leaves the mystery to the audience's interpretation.
In the 2nd half of the movie, you understand what is happening presently and Oni's past but many things are unexplained like what is the relation b/w ML and Fl are they a couple (least likely) or siblings or just working partners or senior/junior? while watching the movie It wasn't clear what the relation b/w the MLs and the two females who were in the hospital while Hwa Rim was dealing with the Oni. According to MDL, Oh Gwang Shim [Hwa Rim's senior] and Park Ja Hye [Hwa Rim's junior] explain.
You may ask why you don't understand while watching? Is that your first supernatural/horror movie?
Nope, I have watched so many supernatural/horror/folk/exorcism movies whether it's Korean, Japanese, Thai, Indian, or Hollywood but they bother to explain or give you the hint so you can understand. But the story was narrated without giving any hints of explaining "it is what it is" and what was the relation b/w the 1st ghost we saw (Grandpa Park) and the Oni wasn't explained! ?
Now what I like and dislike about this movie;
Cinematography: No doubt it is excellent cinematography and gives you the experience to the fullest. The graphics were good too.
Acting: The acting of both actors was top notch and you can see them as a shaman. Kim Go-Eun acting as a shaman was excellent while performing the exhumation. Lee Do-hyun's acting was also impressive as a hot shaman. The acting was the main element of this movie that kept you in your seat. you connect with the characters despite no backstory.
Story: As I said before, the story leaves many loopholes where we as an audience find difficulty connecting the dots. The mystery and the suspense in the story were well presented. This movie didn't have any jumpscares or maybe I didn't find any.
Styling: One more thing that I like is the styling and costume of both leads. Kim Go-Eun's clothing style and her aura, she was the whole mood. Also, Lee Do-hyun's tattoos and hair bun stole the show.
In conclusion, to understand this movie I had so many questions, Like; what was the Park family's secret? Who was Gisune? (I have known about the Kitsune) the grave robber's angle? Who possessed Bong Gil? That was confusing but I thought the General Oni(demon) possessed him. What kind of creature was that snake (Nure-onna) that was killed after the ritual?
I had to do some research and find I am not the only one who was confused thanks to that Reddit explanation I got my answers. If you don’t know much about Korean/Japanese history/shamanism it will be difficult to understand as well.
Without knowing the explanation I gave this movie 6.8 out of 10 for excellent acting, cast, and cinematography. Also, I can't deny the fact that this movie is Overhyped because of the cast. If you had to find an explanation outside of the movie then what to say?
An immature wattpad story!!
I am a fan of BL and I support the LGBTQ community. Now the review...The 1st thing missing when you start the drama is logic and common sense. Set those aside, but can you SERIOUSLY!! put your brain out!!!
That's too much of imagination, your reasoning brain opposes it every single time...
The story goes like; 1st couple, Lian Kilen Wang and Kuea “Kirin” Keerati
Writers: Both of the main leads are engaged by their grandpa.
Me: Okay!
Writers: The ML is the Rich hire...
Me: Okay!
Writers: His grandpa is also gay...
Me: Cool!
My brain/Logic: BUT how does he know his 7-year-old grandchild is gay? and the guy he is going to engage is also gay? ?
Even tho Grandpa has a son... so probably he married a woman and has his son then his grandchild (Kuea) who is the only hire of their family & business... So, Even though his grandpa is gay and cool with the "gay marriage" how does/will he engage his 7-year-old grandkid to a guy?
Writers: But the Main Lead LOVE his fiancé (as a kid)
Me: wouldn't it make them friends? or more like a big brother?
Logic: The main lead goes for higher studies abroad BUT they literally spend their childhood together... so, how come they don't know each other...
It sooo forced and makes no sense... even the actors have no chemistry! There is a lot of kissing but aside from that they don't have an actual story...
About 2nd couple... "Khondiao" Thacha and Yi Phayak Chatdecha
The Male lead (Diao) is scared of the person(Yi) and also loves him??
My brain/Logic: Excuse me?
Writers: There is a dialogue in the drama "Love come with Pain"
Me: Yes, It gave me a headache!
Writers: So, they are not in a relationship but they live together...
Me: okay! Here we go again, No chemistry!
So, the question is it worth watching?
And the answer is NOOOO!! Absolutely No!
I can't give the 0 for rewatching but it is not worth watching just once.
They Better of Friends!
I don't know the Thai entertainment industry much, but their script is too bland and has no depth when it comes to the BL series. the acting looks like a parody sometimes. Now let's talk about Pro & Cons of this series:
- Short series: this series is short and way too sweet & cute but if you find chemistry b/w the leads you will be disappointed, they look more like friends rather than couples.
- The food in the series looks indeed appetizing but idk when the 3rd year cooking student can't even chop vegies properly.
- Fire's mom changes in the end completely within one go is so unexpected but most unexpected was Paeng [Prem's sister] dating his friend was shocking and so unnecessary.
- Imagine you admire your senior and out of nowhere he has a crush on you.
- Prem's personality is so shy every time Ten has to stand up for him...
- Ten has the touching issue which he addressed after 3rd time meeting Prem even tho he had no problem touching him for the first time, he realized it after Prem moved him in the market. In the starting, he said, "Money is not the problem." turned out to be his father's money and he had a problem... Dude you only said that when you knew there would be no problem but suddenly your dad took account of your spending and you had no idea. How slow he is?
- His senior doctor doesn't need to look like his mom, it was too obvious.
- the series is short with a good story but the script was not compatible and made it a little bland puppy love.
Anyway, it is a one-time watch series if you are Gun & Off fan. You can enjoy the puppy love and the little cute less funny scenes.
IG reels made me watched the movie BUT it's NOT worthy!
After Netflix released "One Piece" in 2023 Mackenyu aka Roronoa Zoro's popularity increased and my IG feed filled with his previous movie clips... As expected I searched for that movie everywhere and couldn't find it after a while found it & let me tell you so, you can decide whether to watch it or not.If you expected Fast & Furious kinda of action or any romance you're going to be highly disappointed! Actually, there is not a strong story it's a blend... Yes, there is only one actor in the movie & you know who.... other actors didn't have much impact on the story... it is only about Hiyama Naozumi aka Mackenyu.
Here's the spoiler**
the story is about two brothers' bond, their childhood a lost friend & unsaid things that haven't been addressed until he fulfills his Dream which is to become the best in the World Rally Championship. FYI it's a sports-based movie where sport isn't the highlight just the brothers' quarrel.
IMO, it's a good thing that they didn't add any more love angle in the movie with the promoter cuz that would be unnecessary.
Overall it's a one-time watch movie but don't get your hopes high. I don't know why it gets a 7.5 rating in MDL?
BUT if you expecting the thrill of racing, romance, or passion... you might be wasting your time. I am given 5.5 only and ONLY for Mackenyu.
Guess I'll be watching his other movies which have below-average ratings on IMDB but who cares about rating when you like the actors!
A journey to finding her own worth!
First of all, Hats off to the Female lead, Ling Jia, who's also the director of this movie. She showed her transformation like no one else. Her transformation inspired me so much. She gained weight and then lost it in a year, which shows really well in the movie. This movie isn't a Lalaland or delulu if someone didn't watch it. I like the ending where she wins in the end (ifykyk).Character analysis: I don't understand the reason for her not finding a job for all those years but that doesn't matter. She didn't get a job and did nothing in her parent's house, she was lazy and she was people's pleasure too. Her younger sister also didn't get along. She lost her confidence, she didn't have the guts to kick her cheated bf and so-called best friend, I lost my mind when she attended their wedding as a bridesmaid?♀️
Theme: IDK why it is in the comedy category but I didn't find it funny? It should be in the drama category. She also falls for her relative act and makes a fool of herself in front of the whole world. If that wasn't humiliating enough she tried to finish herself and jump, now this was so interesting that the fat that she hated saved her from getting unalive.
Her coach who she thinks is her bf was using her, since she didn't have any confidence in herself she accepted anything the way he treated her, he live off of her, in her house eating at her place, using her to do his work and she did all of the things because she thinks that at least she has him but damn he was the biggest loser.
This was not only her physical journey but also emotional, she finally had a goal in her life at the age of 32, she lost 50 kgs. Here, the pain not only changes her physically but also mentally. During the match, she was dedicated, and the result was quite real. I like that the focus wasn't on winning the match but on winning in life, her sister was speechless, her parents were proud of her, she proved herself, she gained what she wanted, and lost her old personality. Her former coach has the audacity to ask her out, wtf but you can find a man like this irl too. Finally, she was able to stand up for herself and confidently reject that loser.
Conclusion: This hit hard, and she finally started taking a stand for herself, her life didn't change overnight, not after the match, but she was dedicated. When her father came to meet her she said that she would give both apples to her friend was her old self but then she said it depended on her mood now, yk here she had changed, she finally knew her worth.
Cringe Storyline, good Starcast! Had a High Expectation but this fails.
I am a big fan of Bright. I was excited about after watching its trailer. It was fun but I give it a 3.5 star overall, here's why? Let's talk about good things first:1. Starcast is good: Bella as Risa, Bright as Tim, and Risa's ex Arun and his fiance Monica were good at acting. All the supporting cast was also good.
2. Culture representation: It revolves around Indian wedding, I wasn't looking for accurate Indian culture representation but they did it really well, and the fact that I found so many similarities b/w Thai & Indian culture.
3. Music and Comedy: it is a fun Comedy, Romance nothing serious and I wasn't expecting anything like sense. The song was also good.
now few things that I found cringe and couldn't walk past;
1. Very repetitive storyline: Pretending you have a bf in front of your ex, and then Arun confession to Risa when he is about to get married Monica, dude how uncertain are you? it is so cringe, & then Risa explains to Monica that it is not like that and He loves you and all... girl her fiance just confessed to his ex and doesn't have the guts to say that the wedding planner is his ex. That was not the most eye-rolling moment but Monica shows up to her wedding happily as if nothing happened was. Knowing what happened b/w them Arun's family was so chill.
2. Annoying FL: I like Bell'a acting and she was good at her character. I don't like her character Risa and found her annoying and immature.
Despite being a very cringe worthy repitative story, you can watch this movie for once. It was fun but not as expected.
Goofy & Cute Male leads, Bromance and Beating tons of gangsters at the same time Still like it!
I like it! If you watch it for entertainment then it is perfect BUT it also has lots of plotholes and You can find faults in the story...Like some things are really funny and not practical at all... no one is that clumsy or thoughtless the way they show both of the main characters...
BUT overall if you put practical & logical mind aside, it is one of the good action series.
The casting is good, Both of the main leads, Kim Geon Woo & Hong Woo Jin, Mr. Choi's character, and all the supporting characters did a good job with their acting...
The action scenes were not natural or practical... No matter how good Boxer you are you just can't beat tons of fighters who only kill or beat... It's just not practical... some fight scenes remind me of "My Name" BUT not too much.
One more thing the elders teach the kids how to fight with knives in a day... IN A DAY! LOL... they are boxers, not a robot... come on?
When you know who you fighting, you only defeat two of his man and NOT kill them... and then you just Chill & celebrate instead of planning your next move... WTF You know he is a loan shark, who has people in his pocket and you are just a boxer... ohh come on!?
AND when you are a professional Bloodhound before Lee Doo Young you leave your family photo in that place while your wife is pregnant and Hwang Yang Jung goes to his cafe like a regular Friday.... what do you expect?
I like the main leads friendship the most... They became friends very naturally... The duo has a perfect balance b/w a goofy and cute personality one talks non-stop and the other one listens.
I really really love Woo Do Hwan's character ? His innocent & cute character reminds me of his The King: Eternal Monarch Character Jo Eun-seob.
About Kim Hyeon Joo's character... She was like I will fight for people and all then she just RUN AWAY.. that too when his one and only family get murdered?
In starting they show her as a cold personality who wants what she wants but after Mr. Choi's death. She was like I can't handle it... I'm just a lit girl... I want peace... instead of revenge? That doesn't go with the personality she had before.
Overall it is worth watching once, I like it even tho some things were not practical. it's a fictional story so you can also put that aside.
Love this so far...
The first thing that reminds me while watching it, was my own school, clg life. I used to hate math in school but there are some really good teachers I found after school. So, I can relate to the student life that they show in this drama, the strict parents who had high expectations of the kids, and the pressure they feel, Actually, I was avoiding that drama cuz of that BUT it turn out to be the GEM?
The 1st two episodes were a bit slow which normally happened with any other drama. I really love how they projected the eating disorder on the male lead and shows that the man could also suffer from these!
Unlike, "Crazy Love" There main lead actually teaches math... I also like the new love triangle b/w the kids Nam Hey-yi, Soeon-Ji, and Ji Doon-Hee (the athlete)
And Like any other drama they had to make a brilliant Smart Girl, who is a topper, obsessed with her grades make her jealous of the main girl ( Nam Hey-yi)... why? Why do they always make 2nd Females bad/jealous?
Overall, I love this, It is fun to watch it, The main leads became enemies to friends to lovers... I'm excited to watch more!!
Edit: I really love the overall show ending was happy for everyone... which isn't realistic but it is worthy.
Love this Kdrama, worth watching! giving old kdrama (DOTS, WWWSK, TLBS) vibe
I really love this kdrama since the 1st episode. This is a whole-heart comedy, I love the main lead and 2nd male lead, I like both. the relationship between both brothers is amazing, the love square and silly female lead. first, I was skeptical about the brain surgery part cuz tbh it's unethical and should not be allowed in real life but then who does the medical since will improve, if you keep the logical part aside this is beautiful Krama, I love this.ppl are saying how could 2nd ML kiss the Main FL? but if you look closely it is the first time for him also has feelings for someone, he knew FL liked his brother he still goes for it, and things are getting more interesting.
Bad Acting, Uncertain Writers, and the most unnecessary Female Lead
After seeing so much h@te from the fans I decided to watch it, TBH the trailer didn't excite me enough to watch this Krdama.I finally can understand why people don't like the FL and make reels of not liking her. Let me tell you what I observe;
1. Great Cemstry b/w the Main Male Leads: The bromance b/w the male leads, their partnership was good. But they have known each other for that long if Han Tae Oh shows a tiny interest in a girl why does Kang In Ha have to go for the same girl? he is breaking the bro code, I hate that. If writers show that much understanding b/w them why Kang In Ha don't have any sense of brotherhood?
2. Now according to writers:
Writers/Makers: Female Lead Na Hye Won had a poor background.
Me: Wow, so unique! and?
Writers: And she wanted to use Kang In Ha to gain success (she had some plans)
Me: Okay, so how would she do it?
Writers/Makers: She will approach his best friend to gain his attention.
Me: Okay then?
Writers/Makers: then both of the MLs want/like her.
Me: So, how are you going to make it?
Writers/Makers: well, it's simple.
Me: ....?
Writers/Makers: She does nothing. She just gets into trouble cuz of her mom and she needs someone's help so she goes to Kang In Ha.
Me: that's it?
Writers/Makers: yes!!
Me: ....?
I don't have any problem with the love triangle but the FL just comes out of the blue and does literally nothing and both MLs went crazy over her? hello writers! wtf? about the actress she is not good at acting, most of the time her expressions are the same, no matter the scene.
3. Kang Hee Joo: Why make her a pathetic girl who like Han Tae Oh and he doesn't give a damn. He doesn't need to like her back this is so cliché plot. We already watch this in so many Kdramas.
If the writers/makers are not going to improve then I am going to drop this Kdrama, it is not worth watching. IMO, the FL love triangle is totally unnecessary. But if they make her character like that purposefully to gain fans' attention they failed flat cuz fans are dropping this drama because of that annoying FL.
Hottest Priest, Intresting Plot
After a While there is a good story comes, You will love the priest avatar of Eun Woo... 1st epi is a bit slow, and why every KDrama has foreigners when it's come to ancient stories... I just don't get that! would it be necessary to include foreigners for the sake of authenticity? Also, the chemistry between the main lead is lit and 1st 2 episodes contain drama, excitement, and comedy...
Maybe the budget but The VFX isn't that impressive if compare to other KDramas I watch so far..... aside from that this drama is worth watching.....
Masterpiece after a while!
I watched this Action-packed Korean drama “Moving” because of the reels. At first, I thought it would be boring office drama BUT I was so wrong when I started watching… It turns out to be one of the BEST KDRAMA OF 2023.This is the only Kdrama of 2023 that I give 9.5 out of 10 ? after so long I give any drama this rating. It is so amazing, filled with Multistars, action, emotions, slow-burn romance, superpowers, and whatnot… it is perfect in every aspect.
It is a big-budget multi-starred series where writer Kang Full gives each character their backstory. Every actor and supporting cast of this series did their work with so much dedication that you didn’t question of Han Hyo Joo playing the role of a teen mom Lee Mi Hyun.
Bong Seok can fly but isn’t allowed by his mother, so he tries everything to hide it. Hee Soo possesses exceptional athleticism and rapid injury recovery & isn’t aware until she faces an incident that leads her to join a new school and Gang Hoon wields uncanny strength and speed and is being trained by NIS to later join them.
Every episode of this series starts with a new character, their superpower, and their story. While the first half focused on the teens other half was dedicated to their parents' lives, the struggle to hide their kids, and the urge to protect them won’t let you hold your tears.
Meanwhile, the villains of the story have their own backstory which makes you sympathize with them instead of hating. The supporting characters like Choi Il Hwan (Kim Hee Won) PE teacher, and Jeon Gye Do (Cha Tae Hyun) bus driver have a very significant impact on the story.
The screenplay is not too fast, not too slow, just the right amount of humor, and the slow-burn romance between the main characters Lee Mi-hyun and Kim Doo-sik urges you to ask for more, the cute romance of Jang Joo Won and Hwang Ji Hee is so innocent. Also, the teen romance between Bong Seok and Hee Soo makes you giggle.
The background music is perfect, and the VFX of the fighting scenes was amazing but could be better in a few scenes, like where Kim Bong Seok was breaking the glass while saving Hee Soo.
The action scenes are no joke, Jang Ju-won (Ryu Seung-ryong) fighting scenes literally remind you of Hulk and Lee Jae Man (Kim Sung Kyun) action scenes and the faceoff was so rizz… He is still the most powerful but… Imagine if this character didn’t have any mental challenges then?
Now about the ending, Unexpectedly where other KDramas are giving realistic endings Moving has a happy ending with the potential of next season. Hence, not the director nor the writer announced anything about next season but fans demanding it, so, you can understand the popularity.
IMO, this is a must-watch Kdrama series if you are a fan of action and/or romance you would definitely gonna love this. ??
