This is a good drama to watch while waiting for a great one. It is a fictional historical with some nice action scenes, good camaraderie, melodrama, comedic moments, and a light romance that started too late into the drama. There’s also some mystery. Although the leading couple has good chemistry, their romantic scenes were playful and cute but not exiting. The leading character was written to show a cold facial expression for most of the show’s duration and it became tedious. The female lead’s character was fun and nice to watch but the character’s delivery felt off on the romantic scenes. Overall, it is a nice drama and it delivers entertainment. Enjoy it!

A perfect 10! Two of my top 10 an actor/actress in the main lead parts. It can't get any better than this. I was reading some of the reviews online and some news media stated that Xu Kai and Bai Liu had chosen the wrong parts! NOT TRUE! They took the character of Zhou Shencheng and Shi Yi and made these characters come to life. What a great storyline! I usually don't give a perfect 10 to non-fantasy dramas... This had me focused from Episode 1 to Episode 30. I'm not going to any of the storylines away because you have to have your own opinion and you should see this. OMG! okay... okay! I will give something away... Are you ready? Allen Ren sings "As One" and Bai Lu sang "Heartbeat"... and they both can sing! Make sure you have tissue next to you! You will cry for sadness and happiness! Hope you feel the same as I do when you see this beautiful Chinese drama. I have to give it to the story writer and producers... Well heck, all of the team did great and the 137 actors that help complete this story. BTW keep an eye on Ci Sha a fairly new actor. I know I am!
