A solid rom-com which is better than what the rating here suggests.
One of the best drama to come out this year. Glad I didn't change my mind halfway through because of the ratings. This drama knew exactly what it was and stuck with it till the end rather than confusing the audience with unnecessary conflicts which seems to be the trend these days.I was skeptical at first. Always dropped Rowoon's other dramas except for 'Tomorrow'. But I loved both him and Yi hyun here so much. Both had a innocent charm about them. Which made wait for them each week. And the all other characters were unique and had their own personalities and goals. I always love the stories when it doesn't completely revolve around the main leads. The whole cast did an excellent job.
One thing that may go unnoticed is how well made this drama is. It is very well directed, cinematography is excellent, written without trying to outsmart it's own audience, and soundtrack which was memorable and lively.
If you're looking for a sweet, and heartfelt drama, definitely should give this one a try. Don't mind the ratings.

"Castaway" Diva
Castaway Diva has 'castaway' only in the name. Most of the characters she encounters don't care how she survived on that island all alone. The castaway situation was just reduced into some throw away lines between the characters. Her being a castaway provides nothing to the story after 2 episodes. It becomes completely irrelevant. There is no sign of psychological issues from spending all those years alone in that island. There is no struggle for her to get accustomed to the society. That also was fixed easily through some throw away lines. There is no struggle for her to overcome inorder for her to become a singer. Everyone just accepts that her easily without any conflict no questions asked. If you know anything about korean entertainment industry and media, that's not how that work. The story was more focused on the ML's story rather than the title character. The main plotline is sidelined by the ML's traumatic home life which was much more interesting than whatever going on with Mok Ha (FL) and Ran Joo (SFL) for sure. But thats where the title of this drama comes in as extremely misleading. Everything here felt so rushed and cut short.
And for there are some extremely good actors playing there characters really fantastic. Most actors did a wonderful job, especially the actors who played young Kiho (ML) and Mok Ha.
The OSTs were really remarkable.
Cinematography and direction was superb particularly the visuals.
And this drama had one of the best pilot episode I have ever seen in tv.
All things considered, the only things that I feel is indifference rather than disappointment with this one.
I'll give it 8.5 only because I could finish it and I am often generous with ratings.
P.S :- Ran Joo is not a good or reliable person. The CEO guy and Eun Morae was 100% right about her and had very good reason to abandon her. (my unpopular opinion)

Glad I dropped this when I had the chance.
I started this drama without knowing it has 50+ episode. I thought it had may 16-20 episodes by the looks of how the story was going. Something kept telling me in the back of my mind that this is not for me. I somehow knew this drama will waste my time and sanity. Screaming and scheming old people, clueless MCs and that annoying Sa Ra ruined it for me. When i heard it had almost 50 eps, i knew they'll stretch and drag the story to its death. Now after when I saw this drama in my currently watching list and decided to check how its going, the reviews were exactly how i thought its going to be.Feel grateful and bad for the brave people who wasted there time watching this till the end and decided to give reviews just so they can save other people from this bad experience.
