BL FAQ

How did you start your BL journey?

A friend of mine  just came back from a trip to Bangkok. We were discussing about the Thai entertainment industry, BL series was introduced to me.

BL is a whole different universe compared to the many ever so tragic gay films/movies we had. Thank heavens there are more positive portrayal of boys' love. It is a fiction, a fantasy, an escape, a form of entertainment which I love. I have transported far and deep into this new dimension.

What was your first few series?

2Moons & 2moons2! I was in a really dark place & BL changed my life for the better. I wish to relive the very first moments of discovering It.

One word to describe my feelings is Euphoria. It was a mix of positive emotions all at once. Intense excitement, happiness, comfort and liberation. I found something that I’ve always needed or missing in my life.

What do you like about BL?

The Boys duh! xD

Give me acting, give me chemistry, give me tension! I always look out for wonderful story telling & character development. I do relate to many of the stories being told.

Feeling young at heart. Some of the series made me relive bittersweet moments like my first crush, love, kiss, heartbreak.. you get it.. It’s funny thinking about it. More than anything, it helps with a feeling of acceptance as same sex relationships are visibly depicted.

I’m glad that BL series have ventured out in terms of its plot & storyline, constantly evolving over the years. The production value has greatly improved and the audience has broadened.
