Definitely worth the watch!!
After watching nearly every single Chinese and Korean dating show out there, I concluded that K-dating shows weren't as good as C-dating shows. The reason is that after watching both countries' dating shows, I found that C-dating shows had a higher chance of actually producing real-life couples. My guess is that most K-dating show participants are usually participating to gain influence or clout (Not all of them, so don't hate on me, haha). Another good factor about C-dating shows is that they also update us on the progress of the couples after the show has ended, with some pictures/videos of the couples kissing or something, which is something you'd not see in Korean dating shows. Won't every viewer be curious whether the couples that are formed at the end are still dating? Am I the only one??. Anyway, Serious About Marriage, however, is in fact one of the first... if not the first, Korean dating show where I've seen the participants being super affectionate and genuine to each other. It had everything that I loved, such as showing some pictures of some of the couples that were still dating after a few months towards the end of the final episode. This is the first Korean dating show where I genuinely felt that my thoughts about C-dating show being better than K-dating shows might slowly change as (hopefully!?) more K-dating shows like this are released.Overall, I enjoyed this show; it was well worth watching. However, I do still, as of this moment, consider the C-dating show to take the glory if I were to actually compare. Considering the number of truly successful outcomes of Chinese dating shows, one of the many successful examples I can give would be 'Twinkle Love 2'. Just this dating show alone was able to produce three couples that are still dating to this day. I can confirm this, as I've checked all three couples' social media accounts. I don't know what it is about Chinese dating shows having so much success with forming couples, but I'm all for it. Sorry for the comparisons, but there are some things I'd hope and wish K-dating shows would integrate from C-dating shows, such as participants that truly want to find love and not just ones that prioritize gaining social media influence; I'd think that'd be cool. The only K-dating show I could think of that could be on par with this show would probably be 'I Am Solo', which was actually able to produce multiple married couples, even one of them having a child, I believe the reason why 'I Am Solo' was so successful in forming couples was because they had participants that were just regular Koreans that didn't seem to have any social media influence, which meant that they literally only had one goal of being there... to find their significant other.
I've been blabbering for too long?, so anyway I highly recommend watching this show?.
