Fun little web drama
This actually wasn't that bad. It's one of those short web dramas on Youku, where the episodes are about 6 mins each. Their Youtube channel compiled all of them into one video with a 2 hour run time.
So the drama is about this app where people can order food to change their personality traits/skills. Chi Xiao Yu is a very timid girl, she finds the app, orders all these delicious foods that alters her personality skill to suit the situations she's in, which leads to very hilarious or heart thumping interactions with her boss, Su Yang, who is also hiding a little secret. There is also a price she has to pay for each trait/skill she buys. Such as, the more traits/skills she buys, she starts to lose a trait/skill she was born with.
It's a low budget series, so don't expect much, but the female lead was great. I enjoyed watching her. The drama is cute, funny, there are lots of kisses, but they're all awkward. The male lead is handsome enough, and he does an okay job. The story starts out strong, but starts to lose a little steam by the hour mark, but watching the female lead act out different personalities is very entertaining. There is also a lesson here where they're trying to teach us that people should love us for who we are, don't change yourself for people and quite literally just "Be Yourself" , love yourself, blah, blah, kumbaya. I liked the format they used for when she eats the food to build up whichever trait she wants. If you've ever played any type of RPG game, you'll get it.
It's not a heavy drama, there's angst, it's minimal. BUT there is a drawn out misunderstanding that was really pointless.
