Tangy Noodles, Bland Plot
Seo Hae Won was as bland as that first jjajangmyeon he made - literally felt no depth and had no interest in him whatsoever. And that wouldn't be bad if he weren't the main character of the show. But as it is: oof. This was one of the worst Korean BLs; others at least had some interesting story (or good acting), but Tasty Florida is lacking in that aspect. The plot was so basic and predictable, it sometimes hurt my brain. Others said it before and I will say it again: that love triangle was so useless. Lifelong friends fighting over a dude they've known for a month (who was was intriguing as a dry noodle, sorry bro) really felt like unnecessary drama - which wasn't even well executed but all over the place.
I have to admit, though, that the chemistry of the main couple was sweet. They looked cute together and fitted each other (if only I knew what attracted Eungyu besides Hae Won's pretty face... but I said that already).
For a (Korean) BL, this did have some budget - the set was pretty (I really loved that restaurant! Would absolutely go there for lunch!) and the quality was stable too. And I think what I enjoyed most was the OST. Will definitely check those songs out!
All in all, nothing stunning. I watched it while eating to have something to occupy my mind - but if you do that too, keep some spices ready! You'll have to fight this show's blandness.
