I watched them regarding as friends.
●I had a hard time to make up mind due to its concept as I am from country India where we say brother and sister to neighbors, seniors, auto-driver, or any stranger. And brother-sister bond is considered very sacred. So I took a chance and watched as they are not blood related.
So my first impression was like does the brother interferes too much into the sister dating life, that she ends up getting rejected. And thats what the synopsis also says.
●Story- it was kind of fresh concept, where kids who grew up as siblings are infatuated and then fall in love. I like how its executed and the truth is revealed in first 20 min (sigh of relief). rest is how Haruka protects her and how setoka comes to realize her true feelings. There are many sweet moments. All the guys she chase after are really funny. That English teacher who hits on the girl, and all girls swoon over him is really funny. Its cringed me yet I laughed. The guy who was a doctor was also looking like as high schooler.
●Acting- Ryota as Haruka was handsome teenage entangled in the sibling relation. he showed mature yet jealous brother feeling nicely.
Tao as Setoka was cute but a rather confused person, with so many guys around her she seemed really confused. And ater knowing truth, her 360 degree change in feeling to her brother was unconventional.
The chemistry is amazing, with all the fights and friendship
●Music- it was good and made the scenes more beautiful and alive. The kid scene was really amazing.
●Rewatch- yes!! I liked the story and the acting was also good. They looked nice as a pair.
●Appreciation- as this is my first Japanese movie I am truly loving their language. I loved how they incorporated ORIHIME festival, traditional dressing i.e.YUKATA, otherwise in movies they show the couple going on trip and flirting or making up.
