It raised a high standard for Bl series production
•KinnPorsche is by far one of the most legendary bl series till date. The mafia concept is a pretty high stakes one, given how rich mafias are portrayed in fiction and how action packed their lives are. But KinnPorsche defied all the odds and definitely rose up to the sky. And I can definitely say that it deserved every ounce of support that it got.
•KinnPorsche's synopsis is fairly simple, and if underestimated, can feel as if you're watching a Wattpad story come to life. The romance between a mafia boss and his bodyguard. Thought that nothing unusual? Well, the series biggest advantage is how they developed this dynamic. Instead of showing us cheesy scenes and a fast moving relationship, we got to see a good amount of tension between them. The ups and downs, the secret attacks they had deal with. They conflicts within the Theerapanyakul kept me hooked and I was surprised to find the family divided as the major and minor. The various secrets they hid were also interesting and got me gripping on seat, desparate to uncover these hidden truths. And, being from the mafia family ultimately brands you with some red flags. Kinn and Vegas had their fair share of toxic traits and their rivalry was inevitable. There was comedic relief in form of Tankhun and the bodyguards at times. This allowed to us viewers to have some relief and not feel like we are just stuck in the suspense and action forever.
•Kinn and Porseche's relationship is not entirely perfect. To be honest, Kinn had more than a few moments were he was an inconsiderate jerk towards Porsche. Though it was to protect him, I still think he could've handled it a bit better, instead of making poor Porsche suffer. Porseche's dominance and assertiveness was really a charm and it was refreshing to see how he had his own rules and the way he slapped Kinn in that bathroom scene was just a surprise for me. MileApo's chemistry was top-notch and their equally dominating presence and personality made me even more invested in their relationship.
•Vegas and Pete was totally an example of a toxic relationship. Vegas was emotionally and physically abused by his father, and had all of his life tried to surpass Kinn. He vented all of his frustration by physically and sexually torturing Pete after catching him red handed. This torture totally shows how much a red flag Vegas is. And as much as Pete know it, he still can't let go of Vegas. Vegas was a monster, and the atrocious things he did to Pete are definitely irreversible. But this horrible episode is what got them to understand each other. Vegas became a person who was capable. Meanwhile, Pete somehow managed to love Vegas despite of the torture and even resigned as a bodyguard to be with him. This love is toxic, but also proves that love is blind.
•Kim and Porschay are surprisingly my favourite couple among them, despite the fact that they never became one. The fanboy x his idol troupe was interesting. I know that probably because of Barcode being a minor and Jeff being an adult they didn't do any sort of sexual or romantic scene. But the scenes they had was than enough for me to root for them. Their ending had me in splits. What Kim did to Porschay definitely got the latter hurt and depressed, but at the same time, I understood his reasons and where he is coming from. I also hoped for a season two so that they got the closure they deserved. While this may never happen, I have hopes for their future projects (Happy Ending and Wuju Bakery)
•In terms of side characters, I could go on for hours, so I will keep it brief. Tankhun is superior comedy material. Period. The bodyguards are amazing (Big deserved better). Time was totally jerk and Tay needs to leave him. Macau is lovely brother. Vegas's father deserves to rot in hell. Tawan's presence was unwelcomed (but I really love Na Naphat).
•This series has a really excellent Osts. Jeff Satur's "Why don't you stay" is emotionally compelling and I really like his vocal tone. The main Ost "Free fall" takes the cake for fitting the action concept very well (I could go on talking about it, but let's keep it short)
•Overall, I enjoyed KinnPorsche as it completely devoured and gave justice to the Mafia concept. Aside from the obvious red flag relationships in this story, everything was excellent and well executed. Props the actors and production team. This show is the STANDARD for the production quality of Bl series.
