Would you be with someone who manipulates you for gain?

That’s basically the issue I had with show. The show itself is really good. I love the digital effects, I like the fairytales interwoven in the show. Music is really good, the male lead is good, the autistic brother is portrayed well, and there really are no annoying characters except for the female lead. Here is what I can’t get over. The female lead decides to like and capture this boy. Her motive from the very beginning is just because he doesn’t like her, she wants him. Although she had a rough childhood, you can tell that she was always given or was able to get what she wanted. She’s a spoiled brat. What’s worse is she manipulates everyone around the male lead to get her way. I don’t like that the story rewards her for that. I don’t like that the male lead falls for her with that attitude. Considering the male lead is a caring, giving, worn out individual because everyone takes from him. Why would he then get a girlfriend who’s so broken he is having to be, exactly what makes him exhausted in life. A caregiver. The male leads cannot be oblivious to that fact that in order to get what she wants, she will do literally anything. She even manipulates and uses his autistic brother to insert herself into the male leads life. What worse is that she achieves her goal in the story. According to the story even if you’re super broken in life, you don’t have to fix yourself, you just shamelessly do whatever it takes to get what you want, and it can be yours.
