Loved it
Guys, what can I say? I loved this show! I had it on my Viki Watchlist for months, but never watched it, because the plot sounded a bit cheesy and I’m generally not a huge fan of stories, that are based on misunderstandings. But when I saw all the great reviews on here, I gave it a shot and didn’t regret it for one second. The story is nothing groundbreaking. But it’s a well written and beautifully developed tale about love and friendship with loads of funny moments. (When Cinderella-Aioki threw that shoe down, I giggled like an idiot.)
The characters are properly fleshed-out, realistic characters, that are not without flaws, but are respectful, easily likeable, and just keep growing on you. I have such a soft spot for Aioki, who is goofy and sometimes silly, but also so incredibly kind and just a great guy. Seeing him develop feelings for Ida, without tormenting himself because he was falling for a guy, was such a breath of fresh air and really warmed my heart. Ida on the other hand is such a serious character, but nothing but respectful towards Aioki and his feelings and we can practically see how Aioki worms his way into his heart. I loved how Idas complete face changed whenever Aioki made him smile.
And the two other main characters Hashimoto and Aida are brilliant too.
How often are female characters made to be the villains in Bl series - we get none of that BS here. Hashimoto is the kind of girl everybody would love to have as their best friend.
And Aida is that kind of buddy who is slightly clueless and can be a tad insensitive but is willing to learn and there for you when it counts.
I loved them all, including the side characters and had such a joy following the story episode for episode that I will definitely be watching this again.
There is not a lot of skinship, but it just works the way it is and I didn’t find myself missing anything.
I know this is based on a popular series of mangas and there are more stories that could be told, so I’m really hoping we will see more of this series in the future. Loved it!

Wanted to like it, but just couldn't
Oh, what a trainwreck this show was. I think I’m especially disappointed as I thought the setting and main actors were not bad, in my opinion.I really liked the idea that on the one hand side we have the tailor Aioon, who is very talented and just a really nice guy who runs a tailor shop with his two brothers. And on the other side we got Nawee, an arrogant, tormented rich guy who is scared to leave the house. They meet because of a suit (not really a tuxedo) which then sort of brings them together. I thought the acting was fine and the two leads had nice chemistry. But man did it all go downhill fast.
The plot is basically non-existent. When all the fuss was made about the perfect suit for the birthday of Nawees father, I thought it would be this big corporate event with loads of important people, where the son really wants to shine. But it then ends up being an awkward little family dinner that lasts about 5 minutes as no one eats anything and ends with the dad telling the son he doesn’t want to see him anymore. And why? Because he is a “bastard”? It’s the 21st century, give me a break. Sometimes it felt like they were hinting at some bigger family secret involving the past of the dads of our protagonists, but it never goes anywhere. When the horrible father leaves the dinner, Aioon tells him, he will regret being so awful to his son. It seems like a threat or a premonition or something, but of course it is in fact nothing and never mentioned again.
The terribly stereotypical side characters of the fumbling assistant, the annoying ex-girlfriend and the ridiculously evil stepbrother added nothing to the show and were a total waste of time. And don’t even get me started on the odd relationship of Aioons two younger brothers and their fight about a turtle. Again, this added nothing to the show and the time could have been spent so much better developing an actual plot.
I did enjoy the dynamic between the leads and how we started to see that the arrogance of Nawee mainly came from loneliness and Aioon managed to tear down his walls. This could have been developed into so much more, add some properly written dark family secret that is being uncovered and some likeable side characters and boom, this could have been good, but they just seemed to get it wrong every chance they got. It is absolutely beyond me how someone read that script and actually said, yes, great, that makes sense, let’s film it. Unbelievable.
I hope for the actors that we get to see them together again in some other show with a decent storyline where they get a chance to show what they can do as this is definitely not it and I unfortunately can’t recommend watching it to anyone.
