LOVE time traveling plots - "would you still do it all again? even if you know it'll end"

While the ML moves forward in time, the FL moves backwards (vise versa). They meet each other every 5 yrs since they serve as each other's guardian angels. 

At the age of 20, they are finally the same age and are a couple for 30 days. I really enjoyed this segment of the plot. It was very cute watching how she already loved him yet he was trying to impress her (since she was waiting years to live these moments while the younger him was just now experiencing them to remember in the future). 

When he starts crying  I cried endlessly. No lie. I UGLY sobbed. I appreciate how at the end we were able to view the story from her prospective too. 

It's sad but it's true love when both can enjoy their love for one another even though it's bittersweet ---- it's the love they were fated to love.

It will also question whether if we know everything in the future already, Will we still do the same? The answer for me is yes because 'happiness is still happiness'. We still remember that moment as 'happiness' because everything changes but happiness is always in the corner of time.

A lot, a lot of symbolism and allegories!!!!!!! I had to watch it a second time to catch all of them after reading forums.  

KYUNGSOO IS EVEN MORE HANDSOME WITH AGE AND THE CHEMISTRY ODDLY WORKS. 

Hated the governor dude. He's a total fraud and was super duper annoying.  I'll be honest, I skipped his parts. 

Note: ep 15 sucks but ep 16 ending was worth the trouble.

IGNORE episode one - it gets much, much better after that.  

The first episode is heavy background . All you need to  know is that a lost case harms the ML's rep. 

This is an interesting time travel story (I am a complete sucker for these). In this plot, ML moves to a new apartment and at 10:06 his current time, and a time from 4 months ago merges in the apartment. He meets the previous tenant who is a reporter from 4 months ago but has been missing since.

Lots of plot twists. 

A classic. 

Note: ep  4 ending is when it starts to get good

Romance 10/10, corny parts...made me cringe so -0.5 star but then again the high school flashbacks of otp are so cute so +0.5 star

lmfao I'm BIG TRASH for chihaya. My favorite manga since 2007.

They translated this anime into a live action so exquisitely. I am beyond impressed. IF ANYONE wanted to be my new best friend or earn MAJOR brownie points. Literally say you are a chihaya fan and with that you have earned my heart & soul. I'm that simple. 

The manga hasn't ended yet...but I swear if the ending...is the same...my 13 years of stanning Taichi x Chihaya would be GARAGE. I WOULD BE DEVASTATED IF OTP DIDN'T END UP TOGETHER. 

Another time traveling plot.

A slow burner. Ep 1-6 was blah but the idea was that he tries so hard to fix the future that he doesn't live in the present which causes so many issues in their relationship

Plot: the university's two hottest ppl meet in a video game where they are "married" then meet in real life 

Watch this first before watching One Smile is Very Alluring

1st ep was a mess- the rest =good, super interesting plot. dude who can't recognize faces, and a woman who changes faces once a month love, love, LOVE the side couple. 

Lee Da Hee's eye makeup...FLAWLESS.

CLASSIC

Time travel drama. It's about a married couple relearning how to fall in love with each other all over again, learning to forgive, learning to treasure each other and their relationships with their family and friends, learning to look at things from another person's point of view, and learning not to take anything in their lives for granted, be it their youth and passion or their loved ones. 

SAW that this was a webtoon adaptation...webtoon is rated R 0/10 would rec. Stick to this PG adaptation. PLEASE. 

Absolute masterpiece. Ryan Gold is the IDEAL man. The way he looks at her is so beautiful

Melodrama classic

The sole reason why I'm always sucking on those damn organic lollipops. I haven't rewatched this since high school...so I can't say it's SUPER good. But I thought it ? smacked ? back ? when ? I was ? 15 ? *cue taylor swift*

Untypical kdrama 

What I enjoyed the most was that the characters, their circumstances, jobs and family backgrounds seemed REAL. So realistic and adult like and I mean they even show people smoking!!! 

There's cutesy - cheesy parts but also reflection parts as well??

*update: rewatched 7/2020 ... not as great the 2nd watch. I think it's only because I already knew all the surprises. I also think this was good at the time since kdrama was so dry when it was released. 

1st ever kdrama - it was truly ahead of its time. 

Made me cry a lot back in 2011 (also one of my first ever melodramas)

Part of the point of being 20 is that you can make big mistakes and it doesn't really make that much of a long-term difference, because there's always tomorrow.

Thank god this remake has tae-o as the ML - the side couple is annoying as hell

Even though its just two episodes. It's one of the best short dramas ever. (Especially the tiramisu cake) BEST BOPS. Fun and cute

So addicting-  I barely stopped.

Both couples were worth watching for. I enjoy that the FL doesn't fall for the first confession. It was realistic when she said she didn't like him because he was just nice to her.  Both 1st and 2nd FLs are strong characters.

Beware that some of the court mini-dramas aren't all that great but the side couple's drama is SO spicy. Makes up for it. I love this drama.

Ep12 is best episode for main ship
Ep 13 and onward I only lived for the side ship.

Story about adultery...at times very uncomfortable...but very real. You will be woke by the toxicity of their spouses. 

Every Action Has Consequences. The story continues 3 yrs after the OG drama. 

Sawa is living alone in a small coastal town where everyone seems to know each other. She gets a job working at a local restaurant and vows to leave her past completely behind her. 

This all changes when Sawa reunites with Kitano-sensei, who visits her town to present a lecture on fireflies. As you can expect, a series of dramatic events unfold.

Personally, I thought this movie held the perfect ending to this series. Not 'perfect' as in "everyone ends up happy", but 'perfect' as in the movie really encapsulates the essence of the drama.

I wonder if 2020 will be a continuation of this. It was really nice that they used the same cast (real aging!). Honestly crying for them...their love is so strong I could feel the excitement. "Since this is the last time let's stay a little longer" such bittersweet words. 

The ex-wife is so fricking psycho. 

I think the director gave us an alternative ending - the children at the end. It must symbolize an innocent and pure romance without tragedy.

Nothing much to say besides...Hyun Bin...Captain Ri is a MAN. Yes, he is a MAN! 

Most likely will win drama of the year. I enjoyed both couples - Dan deserves justice.

A real tearjerker and phenomenal acting from Woo Bin and Suzy (Self harm is watching ep 20 from 39:11 til the very ending)

Woo Bin playing a character who has cancer...then announcing he had cancer rly tops the cake. For those re-watching or haven't watched ep 2 is the real grabber! I was hooked then. Oh and!!! Woo Bin even sings in this!!!! He really showcased his talents in this drama

Watched this 2x because of song-song divorce (2016 & 2019): I still found myself skipping through a lot of the boring army stuff - like literally 1st ep skip the whole intro ->  get to the main couple romance and the side couple romance. I lowkey stan the side couple more. Actually I LOVE side couple but don't get the wrong idea I enjoyed the main couple as well.

This adaptation is the LONGEST of all the adaptations. Beautiful love story that has been adapted into movies and drama in multiple languages. What's best is that this one is more detailed but yet still keeps lines and sequences the same. 

To be clear this is my absolute favorite webtoon! 

But as for the drama, I watched the whole thing not even realizing that I finished???!!!!

Main couple has 0 chemistry and I also can't feel connection between them. They also DID NOT match the energy of the main characters in the webtoon.

The only saving grace were the 2nd cpl. They played and looked like the webtoon characters exactly!
