The manhwa is excellent--the drama is worth a watch and very cool in many ways--but the plot changes were so massive that it really put me off. Therefore not too good a rating from me...

Has original Japanese versions (the best of them all) as well as Korean and Taiwanese versions.

Actually--all the three first versions are good, in their own way. Taiwan's "Meteor Garden" is often overshadowed by the much beloved Japanese original, as well as the super flashy Korean version--but give it a chance. It may be dated in looks, but it's actually just as good as the others. Better, in some ways.

Based on shounen manga "Great Teacher Onizuka" (GTO) by Fujisawa Tooru.

LA adaptation of the shoujo series "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e", by Nakajo Hisaya.

The only reason it was labeled "shoujo" is sexism. Because the mangaka is female and females "can't" do action/thrillers.)
