Hyped but not my Type
Titles that I honestly don't understand the hype/were in my opinion overhyped.

1. Estranhos do Inferno
Korean Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
Had some good things but that's it. Very pretentious and just 'eh' overall. The inconsistencies between how the antagonists were actually portrayed was also very underwhelming. Main badguy was fricking slenderman

2. A Fada do Levantamento de Peso, Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Didn't like. I admit this just really wasn't my scene and I didn't know that until much later which explains why I didn't like it. I watched it for the role reversal but it was awful

3. My Dear Destiny
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
Enjoyed but not nearly as much as other people. The tumblr posts were more fun than the actual drama so I think I may miss something that other people didn't. Overall, not bad, didn't hate it but didn't love it as much as I was hoping I would.

4. Ready, Set, Love
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
Okay for what it was, could've been much better. Just missed opportunities that were just impossible for me to overlook so it ended up affecting my experience. It was fine for what it was and it can be enjoyable if you don't think about it at all but it's a bit of an expensive production for that T_T

5. I Don't Want To Do Anything
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
Slow, boring and certain messages of the story didn't resonate with me at all. It just didn't hit.
-
6. The Devil
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
Slow, boring, tedious, grating... nothing really happens, much less with reason and the characters were bland and I felt no connection. Not to mention the inconsistencies, plot holes... ugh
-
7. Enigma
Thai Drama - 2023, 4 episodes
Horror dwindled after the first episode. Romance took too much screen time and wasn't good. Acting was meh, ML was NOT it
-
8. Butterflied Love
Chinese Drama - 2023, 22 episodes
Not what I was expecting and became sooo draggy despite not being long at all. Weird fluctuating between feminism and sexism too and don't even get me started on the bait and switch from an interesting slow thriller that the beginning promised to this super dragged-out melodramatic mess that it ended up being. Secondary couple overstayed their welcome by a long shot too

9. Meu Nome
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
I wanted to like it and though I didn't dislike it, it was overall just okay. A very bland drama that's bland even for the average kdrama action/thriller (which is REALLY saying something). Good fight scenes and nice to see a woman in the lead but that really is about it

10. Às Cegas
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
It was honestly just alright. Some things were good, some things were quite poor. Definitely not the best thing since sliced bread like I heard people claim xD The overkill of red herrings got SO old I just stopped caring about the story T_T
