Completed Drama's 2023 (with notes)

Watched 21 Dec. '22 - 06 Jan. '23 

Main story and acting was ok but all those weird sounds that were  very 80's. The make-up, clothes and hair were ott and the twists were weak and rather strange.

Idk what to say about S2..... it didn't make any sense just as some fellow mdl's already pointed out in the feeds. I really don't get the mind-set of these writers and I know it's fantasy but still. Yup I'm disappointed

Watched: 02 Jan - 16 Jan. 

The 1 episode scared the hell out of me so i prepared myself and then it went lame. The FL character is airheaded written and the story is to westerner. Nah kinda disappointing. Idk if i will watch part 2, i'll see

Watched: 09 Jan. - 31 Jan. 

I liked the growing friendships and the story even though it didn't give me real emotional heights. But what I loved was that the strong independed women didn't became damsels in distress, like it is the case in almost every chinese drama, and stayed strong the whole drama trough. Recommended as a good costume.

Watched: 06 Jan. - 01 Febr. 

Nice story and good acting but the director and/or writer could have done so much better, man what a flaws. The worst thing is that such a director can make or break a great actor. A well I enjoyed it anyway :)

Jan. 28  -  Febr. 8 

I didn't want to end this amazing story but the today was the perfect day the watch the last few episodes ?  I never expected that it would be this good when I started it but it was a beautiful aligned emotional rollercoaster and now I'm speechless......

Jan. 22  -  Febr. 14

When you know science and human behaviour this is a good story. It was well acted and the CGI was imo very good. The minus was the constantly repeating scenes and the pace could have been better and some things didn't add up the time sequence.

Febr. 9  -  Febr. 14

This well written story started slow and had a good built up tension. The pace in overall was great. Acting was amazing and imo there was good chemistry between the actors. I couldn't find any director flaws. The minus I had were the last 2 written episodes, they personally disappointed me.

Febr. 14  -  Febr. 26

This was a nice investigation story of a guy who's brain works different than the common investigator. The ML did an amazing job expressing this character. 

Re- watched  : Because I didn't know what to watch and I still loved it, maybe even more then the first time :))  

March 7  - March 9

I really loved the story but somehow the original story was twisted in the last part of the drama. Why?? If it wasn't for this weird denouement I probably would have rated a 9,5 or 10 even. It was awesome and great acting too

March 10  - March 12

This story I loved however it could have been made in 12 episodes instead of 16 cos it started dragging around ep 11, like way to much flash backs and repeated dialogues. Too bad tho bc the story, acting, and visuals were great. Also the side characters had a impact in the main story and were all well wrapped up.

March 13 - 15

Good story just some dragging eps too many. Unfortunately the director made a lot of dumb mistakes. Anyway it is a nice watch, cleverness, some humour, some suspense and I loved the female character.

March 15 (Binged this 6 eps)

I found it in overall a weak story. There's no consistency in the characters except the villain's character Goong Tan. And I don't get started on the FL character, just weak, arrogant and slow-witted. (Lee Da Hee) didn't, imo, fit this role. The pace was irregular and the music was sometimes off but there was really one good thing in this whole series and that were the CGI visuals!

March 16 (Binged and skipped a lot)

Uhm, just a bit over the top with the zombie scenes and sometimes way too long imo, so I skipped a lot of that. The story on it self was simple and nice, the acting and the visuals are great including the sublime work of the make up artists.

March 17 (Binged and Skipped) 

A little better than S1, less over the top and more story.

March 18  -  19

Good plot, little ott though and great acting.  Don't know yet if I'm gonna watch S2. I liked the concept of Alice in Borderland better.

March 19  -  23

In overall this fiction drama, based on true historical records, was almost amazing, good acting tho, with fabulous visuals and all-though I can't reconcile with it, it has a solid ending.
Con: It became repetitive at one point where lead characters  actions are like a broken record. "There was a lot of barking but no biting to those who needed it". They could have made this drama easily in 12 eps instead of 16.

March 23  -  25

Nice plot, great acting of the Main Cast but somehow there is none character development whatsoever by the 2th ML's character, he acts retarded most of the time even though he definitely is not! I'm gonna pick up S2 maybe they grow into maturity

March 25 - 26 A short web series. 

This was such a nice little gem of 20 x 10min episodes. Nice plot, good acting and loved the cast.
Just too bad that a lot of the time the subs sucked in translation and timing.  However I recommend it anyway bc it's a simple to understand story :))

March 28 - 31 

I liked the plot, the acting, the cgi and the ending. Yup great production only I was the one not totally invested. 

April 02 - 05

Spoiler  and I'm being generous with 6.5/10
The plot is good but I tell ya it will remain a mystery until the disappointing end. The cast did well but the writer and director could use a update in their peanut brain. What annoyed me the most was that the SL with his ability still made painful stupid faces when people lied even though he has this ability for years.  I would have been used by it after some time. Brr just a creepy insecure boy

March 27 - April 6

The only things that were good is the main plot and the acting of 4 actors the rest was mediocre. It was like I was watching a serie for 12yrs olds.  Maybe it's me but I find the Thai acting different from all other country's. Is it the language that makes it unreal and mediocre? I don't know, I can't put my finger on it .

March 31  -  April 9

I'd never suspected that this would be such a little gem, I didn't liked it I loved it <3
The plot, the casts acting and chemistry were great, the directing was nearly flawless and the ending was different from  what I usually see in dramas, it was original, funny and solid at the same time.

April 4  -  April 18

This was my 1st HK drama  and it was an unusual one for me.
I liked the silliness of the first part and the more serious stuff later on. The acting of most of the players was a little stiff, maybe the director is to blame for that, idk. Anyway it was a nice watch
