YI totally agree. They should have a period to comment on a drama that is still airing.

It’s time MDL moderator to evaluate credibility of ratings big time .

there has to be certain criteria where Review bombing will stop from  creating same account again and again

atleast make changes to 1 account in a week 😬😬

All I can say is we have safeguards in place. You can vote, doesn’t mean we will count your vote. You can compare this with IMDb ratings or other platforms.

 Ji-N:

Lo único que puedo decir es que tenemos medidas de seguridad. Puedes votar, pero eso no significa que contabilicemos tu voto. Puedes comparar esto con las calificaciones de IMDb u otras plataformas.

Do some users' votes really not count?

Something doesn't add up to me, and that is that in the drama of 'When the phone rings' most of the rated reviews are high, there are few negative reviews, even so the score has dropped and it is something that I don't really understand at all.

I've also seen the IMDb reviews and most of them are good, although I don't know the scoring criteria there because I don't really use the app.

I also have another suggestion, there should not be a limit regarding reports and blocks. I believe that if users don't want to interact with other users due to any situation that has occurred, they have the right to block without there being a limit.

Yes, there is a strict safeguard for new users. Reviews are not included in the aggregated rating or the final score. I believe the rating for that show is 5.4/10 on IMDb. Ratings for shows usually drop after they finish airing, as the initial high rating is often due to a lower number of votes.

As IF IMDb has credibility 🤣

My question is why are comparing with IMDb or any portal

that ratings also not reliable, so suppose if IMDb have glitch in rating ,you also gonna also lower rating like that that doesn’t make sense

My fault for not making it clear. What I mean is that if the votes were manipulated or counted, it would reflect in IMDb's rankings or be same as IMDb.

You're assuming the imbd rating hasn't also been manipulated by a down voting campaign?? Ratings usually drop, sure, but there was also a very targeted attempt to lower the rating here, IMDb and Google. Just look at the reviews on google. 90% of the ratings on IMDb are a 1... that's not normal. So I trust none of them to be accurate.

No, read my above reply.

Thanks for clarifying. Actually after looking at IMDbs  ratings the manipulation of them is strikingly clear, MDL might benefit from the same kind of set up, like for example IMBb shows us  they have a total of 77k reviews, 51k of which are 1 star reviews from Indonesia, with 69k 1 star reviews total. So definitely seems like some kind of bot farm or something. If MDL had similar metrics it might help users trust ratings more (I know a lot of folks who don't trust  the ratings on this site at this point). Would this be better off as it's own suggestion thread?

Just to want to make it clear.

1. We can’t share the a lot of details because it would make it easier for people to cheat the system but we do have rules to stop new accounts from messing with ratings and criteria requirements.

2. Reviews don’t affect the overall ratings because that would count a user’s input the rating twice.

3. New users can vote, but their votes won’t count in the final rating unless they meet certain criteria.

That is something we do plan to add in the future.

Ji-N means that because MDL's rating isn't completely tanked and at a 5 the same as IMDb's that our ratings are protected from the same kind of attack. I think ratings wise that's all that can be done.

I do still think a grace period for new accounts making comments would be nice and cut down on spammers. Gonna leave that out there :D
