Novel Ending in Brief for Closure

Although there were some changes to the immortal arc, and the ending of this drama  probably due to restriction and limitation of episode.

Here is a brief of the novel ending, May be can help some to find a closure.

The novel ending: they reconciliation happened about 1000 years later. The three realms were peaceful after TTJ’ sacrificed. LSS ruled the demon world and searched for TTJ’s soul at Nether River but she couldn’t find him. LSS wanted to die but she didn’t because she was pregnant with their daughter, and Ami was born. 

The abyss (after TTJ”s death, is transformed into a livable place for all creatures and demons.) LSS never give up in searching for TTJ. Ami, is a full God because of her parents’s status. TTJ transformed the abyss into the nature world that LSS loves, making it inhabitable for the demons. Ami is playful and adorable and had cheekiness of TTJ.

One day, Ami sneaks out and stumbles upon a new reincarnated TTJ in mortal world, reborn as Bai Ziqian. BZQ kept a low profile and determine to live a simple life (one if the hopes LSS wanted him to do). BZQ initially had his memory locked so he couldn’t remember LSS but he is attracted to her. LSS opened a wine shop near in his village and started to pursue him.

Eventually BQZ regain his memories of his past lives and remembers everything but did not seek LSS because he thought she is a goddess now and is more prestigious in her status. He thought she is serving the good of the world. It turns out LSS knew everything that happen and his sacrifice. She spent most of her time tracing TTJ’s whereabouts without knowing he had reborn in a remote town as a human.

It is in this town LSS schemed to win over BZQ. He finally gave in and married her. LSS knew from the first encounter that BZQ is TTJ when she saw him. 

On their wedding night, LSS asked her BZQ, who she should refer him as: TTJ OR BQZ. After the wedding, she brought him home to the abyss where everyone welcome him back. He finally has a place to call home/family. Something he desperately wanted too when he was TTJ and CJM. 

There were a story arch in the novel that a young susu promised to take CJM ‘home’ no matter. When they left the portrait enchantment, LSS do not have the memory of the promise which sadden CJM. So the novel ended with LSS keeping her promise to bring TTJ ‘home’ and start their lives there.

Thank you! This is beautiful! Why is it that in the novel she would search for him in the River when he died as a God? Or did she know this? Or did he die as a God in the novel? How was his relationship with Ami? Was this described?

If he is mortal and she is goddess how they will live longer bro..

It’s been a month since this drama has ended, however many new viewers were still confused and dissatisfied by the  plot and ending.  In reflection: the drama has chosen this ending, was a bold move, however the team stayed true to its original novel theme which is about sacrifices for love, live triumphs suffering and for greater good. It’s ultimately not necessary to always have a couple ending up together, furthermore in spirit they will always be united. 

Si Ying was the 1st to learn Susu was pregnant due to her ability but held back out of worries that TTJ might change his mind.  I do wish to know how she & Jie Ming accepted LSS as the new empress of the Demon Realm and told her of her pregnancy.   LSS grew trusted them enough to look after the newborn A Mi while visiting the tomb 

There was the original ending script of the drama version that TTJ used the path to revive those who died from it (Si Ying & Jie Ming were rumored to be brought back along with LSS adopted father as the preview of the audio clip had showed about Ami grandfather) and was regard as the hero who saved the realm
