I've watched some cdrama, and notice when characters are typing on computer keyboard they are writing in latin characters (alphabet), only for those characters being resolved to chinese symbols.
Is this actually reality?

You can see the same thing in Google Translate.
Select Chinese > Type in 'wo' and you will see a list of characters come up that match the sound.
First one should be 我 = Wǒ = I/Me/Myself

no, I won'tI typed "hao" and there should be many characters to choose frombut there is only one suggested by google translator: 好which in this case is not the one(s) i'm looking for: 豪 and 浩google is not that smart...
