The New York Times is just chock full of interesting items concerning Asia. The link is to a video reporting on the increasing popularity of 1950's red songs, pro-Communist propaganda set to a catchy tune. I don't know much about the communist revolution in China apart from the usual American "SOCIALISM IS BAAAAAD" mentality, but I found a lot of what the interviewees said about the red songs interesting.
