Blood spitting in historical cdramas

I've only watched so many cdramas, and mostly historical ones or xianxia. There's a lot of spitting of blood right? :) I think every episode I'm watching of current series (a xianxia) has an actor spitting blood after being punched or poisoned or whatever. It's almost becoming a "meme" in my mind :)

What's your opinion about this? hehe.... never seen so much spitting of blood.

funny how they never die from spitting gallons of blood....

honestly they could be hit by something as small as a needle and they would still spit blood. I recently watched immortal samsara and there was blood spitting a lot of the episodes
