not too long ago, I watched a historical Chinese drama but now that I wanna rewatch I forgot its name. it was about a girl who entered the palace as a maid after she broke up with the man she loved and was serving the concubine or the consort. she once met the emperor at night and mistook him for a palace guard and he never cleared the misunderstanding and then fell in love with her. in the meanwhile, it was one of his concubines who wanted to get rid of her and always made evil schemes to get her in trouble. the last one was locking her in a room with the guard who is the emperor to accuse her of adultery but it only made the emperor propose to the girl. I don't think this drama is "love & the emperor" but it's definitely something similar to it.
