I want statistics for MDL too. I would much rather it be built in to the website. But whatever works. I would be really happy if it happens, you would be able to analyze your own drama tendencies, see relationships that you never came to notice, and compare your data with other people on MDL! I did shoot an email to the creator of this and asked how this was done, I get the feeling that it would be too advanced a project for someone w/o a computers background to take on, especially since I am relatively busy, but someone who has that sort of background should really try working on this. Would be really really cool.

I agree. That would also be useful, but they are already doing too much. They just dont have the sort of scriptwriters that MAL has. Maybe you can go pick up computer science and help them out! Haha.. come to think of it. I like statistics so much I run my own stats on my profile page. (Amateur, but at least provides me with a trend)
