Upcoming MBC drama "Joseon Lawyer" confirmed its main leads.
Woo Do Hwan, Cosmic Girls Bona, and VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon are all confirmed to lead the historical drama "Joseon Lawyer."
"Joseon Lawyer" will revolve around Kang Han Soo, a skilled lawyer in the Joseon era who will defend and complete the law to take revenge on his parents' death. Because of this, he also became the hero of the nation as he becomes their spokesperson.
The series will be the collaboration work of directors Kim Seung Ho ("Twenty-Five Twenty-One") and Lee Han Joon. The script will be written by Choi Jin Young. It will be produced by People Story Company and One Content.
According to reports, "Joseon Lawyer" will begin filming soon. The drama will reportedly air this year. No other details have been revealed yet on the supporting actors.
Woo Do Hwan will play the role of Kang Han Soo, an outsider lawyer with a magical charm. This will be his second upcoming drama. The actor is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix original series "Bloodhounds" with Lee Sang Yi, Park Sung Woong, Heo Joon Ho, Jung Da Eun, and Kim Seo Kyung.
Bona will work once again with director Kim Seung Ho. The two worked together in the hit series "Twenty-Five Twenty-One." This is her follow-up drama after "Twenty-Five Twenty-One." Bona will play the role of Lee Yeon Joo in the series "Joseon Lawyer." She is an unfortunate woman who hides her identity.
Meanwhile, Cha Hak Yeon will play the role of Yoo Ji Sun. He is part of Joseon's prestigious family and he is also considered one of the most prestigious readers in the nation. He strives for fair judgment. This drama will be his follow-up work after 2021's "Bad and Crazy."
