There is a high possibility that Park Hyung Sik will finally return to the small screen!
Park Hyung Sik will reportedly be the main lead for the upcoming drama "Sleep Memo"! His agency UAA (United Artists Agency) stated that the idol-actor is positively reviewing the casting offer of the upcoming historical romance drama.
"Sleep Memo" will have a sageuk setting (Korean historical drama). The story will revolve around a lady who is accused of killing her own family. She then meets a cursed crown prince and they come to the realization that they are each other's savior.
The upcoming drama will air on tvN and will be directed by Lee Jong Jae ("100 Days My Prince" and "Duel"). The screenwriter will be Jung Hyun Jung ("Lovestruck in the City", "Romance is a Bonus Book", and more).
Park Hyung Sik received the offer to play the role of the cursed crown prince named Lee Hwan.
Park Hyung Sik enlisted in obligatory military service on June 10, 2019. He officially finished his military duties on January 4, 2021 and since then, many have been anticipating his comeback project. The idol-actor starred in several dramas such as "Suits," "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," "The Heirs," "Hwarang," and "High Society." He last starred in the movie "Juror 8" in 2019.
He first debuted as an idol in the k-pop group ZE:A formed by Star Empire Entertainment in 2010. Im Shi Wan, Kim Dong Jun, and Hwang Kwang Hee were also part of their group. Currently, Park Hyung Sik is focusing on his acting career and left Star Empire Entertainment. He is now signed under UAA.
"Sleep Memo" will reportedly air in the second half of 2021.
