Upcoming romantic comedy drama "Oh! Master" is in discussions to change its director.
The MBC drama starring Lee Min Ki and Nana is currently sorting out the issue on director Hyun Sol Ip.
According to reports, there are internal complaints on the PD about issues within the filming set. MBC told media outlets that they held a disciplinary committee about the issue and are discussing if they will change the director for "Oh! Master". The network also stated that director Hyun Sol Ip is suspended for a month but refused to give further details as things are still confidential.
"Oh! Master" is a collaboration between writer Jo Jin Kook, who also worked on "Soulmate" and "Fated To Love You", and production director Hyun Sol Ip.
Hyun Sol Ip's first project was the 4 episode series entitled "You Drive Me Crazy" starring Kim Seon Ho and Lee Yoo Young. Many praised her for her fresh direction on the 2018 series and were looking forward to her next project. "Oh! Master" will be her first full length project if she is not replaced.
"Oh! Master" is set to air in March of 2021 with the story revolving around a drama writer who chooses not to date and a romantic comedy actress who is not allowed to date.
Lee Min Ki will play the role of the thriller drama writer named Han Bi Soo while Nana will play the romantic comedy queen named Oh Ju In. The two characters who are both single due to individual reasons will end up living together.
Other cast include CNBLUE's Kang Min Hyuk, Lee Hwi Hyang, Sun Woo Jae Duk and Kim Ho Jong.
