There's no stopping Lee Je Hoon from appearing in more works this year!

On April 13, several media outlets reported that Lee Je Hoon has been chosen to lead the remake of MBC's 1971 K-drama Chief Inspector. According to them, Lee Je Hoon is positively considering the offer to lead the series. 

The remake version will be titled Chief Inspector 1963 and it will feature the journey of Park Young Han in the 1960s before he became the chief inspector. The original K-drama was set in the 1970s to 1980s. Meanwhile, the upcoming K-drama will be set in the 1960s, a decade earlier than the original.

The original K-drama Chief Inspector was well-loved by the nation. It was broadcasted 880 times from 1971 to 1989. Many are already anticipating how Lee Je Hoon who's known for always being excellent in his works, will reinterpret the remake K-drama.

Lee Je Hoon will reportedly play the role of Choi Bool Am's character named Chief Inspector Park. He is the main character of the series who is an Investigation Team Leader.

According to reports, actor Lee Dong Hwi will also join the upcoming remake.

 Chief Inspector 1963 is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2023.

If Lee Je Hoon officially confirms his casting, this will be his follow-up K-drama after the hit SBS series Taxi Driver Season 2. The hit series will officially conclude this week and many are expecting it to break its rating record. 

Aside from K-dramas, Lee Je Hoon is also set to star in the upcoming films Noryang: The Sea of Death, Escape, and Moral Hazard.

Lee Je Hoon is known for being part of the K-dramas Fashion King, Signal, Tomorrow With You, Where Stars Land, Taxi Driver, Move to Heaven, and more.
