Jin Seo Yun and Cha Ye Ryun received the offer to lead the upcoming ENA original K-drama "Happy Battle" (literal translation).
"Happy Battle" will base its story on a novel of the same name. It's a suspense series wherein mothers who were engaged in a fierce social media battle to destroy each others' happiness for their own, become free from oppression, wounds, and secrets and regain their true selves.
Media outlets reported that the upcoming drama was offered to both Jin Seo Yun and Cha Ye Ryun.
Their agencies both responded to the casting reports. Jin Seo Yun's agency ANDMARQ confirmed that the actress received the offer and she is positively reviewing it. Cha Ye Ryun's agency HB Entertainment also gave their side and revealed that the actress is also considering the casting positively.
There are no details yet on the characters that Jin Seo Yun and Cha Ye Ryun will possibly portray.
This upcoming series will be added to the amazing lineup of the new broadcast channel ENA. The channel is famous for the k-dramas "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," "Gaus Electronics," "Love Is for Suckers," and more.
"Happy Battle" will officially premiere on the broadcast channel ENA and it will air in the first half of 2023.
If Jin Seo Yun confirms her casting, this will be her next k-drama after the hit 2021 SBS series "One the Woman." This year, the actress was more active on the big screen. She was part of the films "Yaksha: Ruthless Operations," "Land Mine," and "The Limit." She also recently guested on the popular variety show titled "Running Man."
Meanwhile, this will possibly be the first project of Cha Ye Ryun for 2023. She recently wrapped up her melodrama "Gold Mask" with Lee Hyun Jin, Lee Hwi Hyang, Na Young Hee, Yeon Min Ji, and Lee Joong Moon.
