Choi Sung Eun will reportedly lead a webtoon based K-drama by "The Cursed" director
Hwang In Youp is set to reunite with Kim You Jung in the upcoming K-drama Dear X.
According to an exclusive report from media outlet Hankyung on June 26, actor Hwang In Youp will make a special cameo appearance in one of the episodes of the upcoming K-drama Dear X.
This will be the reunion of Hwang In Yeop and reported Dear X. main lead, Kim You Jung. The two have worked together in the 2022 entertainment program Young Actors' Retreat. Many are hoping that the two work together in a K-drama after they saw their chemistry in the variety show.
Before Hwang In Youp stars in Dear X, the actor will first lead the upcoming K-drama Family by Choice with Jung Chae Yeon, Bae Hyeon Seong, Seo Ji Hye, Choi Won Young, and Choi Moo Sung.
Hwang In Yeop was last seen in the 2022 K-drama Why Her? and the Netflix original K-drama The Sound of Magic.
Dear X will tell the story of Baek Ah Jin, an actress who became famous by any means necessary. She's not very social, but she's talented. Something bad happens and she loses her fame, but one person stays with her. The K-drama will be based on the webtoon of the same name by artist Ban Ki Woon.
Director Lee Eung Bok who is known for creating the K-dramas Sweet Home, Mr. Sunshine, Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, and more will be responsible for directing the upcoming series.
Hwang In Youp will portray the role of Heo In Gang. He will give tension to the K-drama by portraying the role of an idol-turned-actor who has a dark secret.
Aside from Kim You Jung, the K-drama will also be led by Kim Young Dae and Kim Do Hoon.
Meanwhile, Dear X will premiere in the first half of 2025. The K-drama will reportedly have a total of 12 episodes.
