Kwak Shi Yang to appear in the upcoming episode of "Good Partner"
Go Hyun Jung and Jang Dong Yoon are officially leading the newest SBS K-drama that will premiere in 2025.
On July 23, it was officially confirmed that Go Hyun Jung and Jang Dong Yoon would be the main leads of the upcoming mystery thriller K-drama titled The Mantis.
The Mantis will showcase the happenings when a person begins murdering people in the style of a serial killer who has already been imprisoned for many years. The serial killer then asked his son who became a police officer to track down the new killer. The K-drama will depict its story from the French series The Mantis (La Mante) aired in 2017.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Byun Young Joo (Helpless and Black Out) and writer Lee Young Jong (12.12: The Day and The Flu).
The Mantis will exclusively premiere on SBS in 2025.
Go Hyun Jung will portray the role of Jeong Yi Sin. She is a serial killer who is known for killing five men 20 years ago. While she is imprisoned, someone begins killing with the same style she did. She then offered to help the police so they can catch the copycat killer but with one condition, that his detective son would be in charge of her.
Before Go Hyun Jung stars as a serial killer, she will first return to K-dramas with the upcoming series The Starry Night with Ryeoun, Yoon Sang Hyun, and Lee Jin Woo.
Jang Dong Yoon will portray the role of Cha Soo Yeol. He is a police officer who is very interested in solving murder cases. He is the son of Go Hyun Jung's character Jeong Yi Sin. He will work with her serial killer mother to solve the new serial murder case.
Meanwhile, this will be Jang Dong Yoon's first confirmed project for 2025.
