The 7th episode of The Kidnapping Day will not air on October 4.
ENA Channel announced on October 2 through their social media channels, "The 7th episode of The Kidnapping Day which was scheduled to premiere on October 4 will be canceled. Instead, the 7th episode will air on October 5 at 9 PM KST. We ask for your understanding."
According to reports, the reason for the cancellation is because of the 19th Asian Games men's soccer match that will be broadcast at the same time and day. The Korean men's soccer team will be against Uzbekistan in the semifinals.
The Kidnapping Day has already aired 6th episodes since the second week of September. It will have a total of 12 episodes. The K-drama can be viewed through the OTT platforms TVING, Amazon Prime, and the broadcast channel ENA.
The Kidnapping Day showcases the journey of a clumsy rookie kidnapper and an 11-year-old genius girl The story is based on a novel of the same name by Jung Hae Yeon.
The K-drama is being led by Yoon Kye Sang, Park Sung Hoon, Yuna, Kim Shin Rok, Kim Sang Ho, and Seo Jae Hee.
Yoon Kye Sang portrays the role of Kim Myung Joon, a poor man who's desperate to have money for her daughter's operation. He decided to kidnap Choi Ro Hee, played by Yuna, who came from a rich family.
The Kidnapping Day is part of the Wednesday and Thursday K-drama timeslot of ENA and it airs at 9 PM KST. Because of the postponement of the latest episode, the K-drama will possibly be extended to air until the last week of October.
The sixth episode garnered an average nationwide rating of 3.2 percent. The rating went down from the previous episode because of the Chuseok holiday.
