2024 Manga Adaptations (January - June)
If you are a fan of a shōujo manga "Strobe Edge (ストロボ・エッジ)" by Sakisaka Io, then the latest news will make you happy! The film will be released on March 14, 2015. It will be directed by Ryuichi Hiroki, while a Japanese group Greeeen will be providing a cover version of their hit song "Ai Uta" (愛唄) sung by a female vocalist who is going to be chosen through the audition.
Sakisaka Io is the one who created Ao Haru Ride (you’ve probably noticed the similarities in art) which will also get a live-action film this December. When it comes to Strobe Edge, it doesn’t have an anime adaptation unfortunately, but the manga is still very popular. Check out the trailer!
The story follows Ninako Kinoshita, a rather typical and cute highschool girl, who falls in love with the mysterious guy from the other class, Ren Ichinose. He is very popular but also reserved. She meets him on train and soon starts falling in love with him, however, when she confesses, he says that he has a girlfriend and that they can only be friends. But will she be able to suppress her feelings and is his relationship with his girlfriend still the true one?
