Family-focused drama as well, and one of the best ever.

I prefer my golden life, because of the higher dose of drama in it.. it's an emotional rollercoaster, and very realstic at the same time.

Both female leads due to circumstances in their lives disguise themselves as males in their youth & young adult years. They later go on to become strong female leaders in male dominated surroundings.

Both involve girls dressing up as guy due to family circumstances. The romance though.... ain't a bit similar at all, sad to say.

Gender Bending because of family obligations and responsibilities.

Both are dramas are long running, however OWRD has shorter episodes approximately 30 minutes. They both have a focus on families who run a food business (soy sauce and tofu). While WHTMF displays the lives of an average humble family, OWRD has a rags to riches tail both for the antagonists and the FL who disguises as a male to gain the power to protect her family.

This show is also about a girl who dresses up as a guy to fulfill her dream and that's actually the only thing in common between the shows. If you like gender bender try this out. There is way less drama and more comedy.

Cross dressing girl in historical settings. Like in Hana there is whole lot of drama and adventure.
