Meiko decides to make an agar confectionery harmonica after hesitation. Omura teaches her how to make it. Meanwhile, Oshizu gives up on Shozo and decides to return to being a geisha. Meiko hurriedly prepares for the festival, but other than Noriko, everyone will be away from the festival night. Meiko is disappointed that the whole family are not going to be eating and waiting for the lions to come around. And Meiko thinks it is her own fault that Oshizu is trying to return to being a geisha.
