On the evening of August 7 to the early morning of August 8, 2010, a heavy rainfall triggered a mudslide in the north-eastern part of Zhouqu County in Tibet. Tens of thousands of people were affected. What is even more distressing is that many families were separated, and many surviving children have lost their parents, or have been injured and disabled.
