it contains trigged incidents so like be careful

I started to watch it out of curiosity like what the end would be like and what's the purpose at that I didn't know what I have signed up for , it's extremely creepy and nerve wracking story of a soul and haunting everyone and a producer who wanna reveal the reality but can he ??
I thought it would be crime thriller but tbh thekorean horror genre gives me chill every time I watch it it's very much likely to watch but please in day time , it's scary !! ,
the characters are well written but it's kinda blurry like what happened after that , what's the purpose where that man vanished, why he did this , this kinda questions are required to know itgeriits a good series

An investigation team decided to pursue a murder case that happened in 1992. A video recording of the murder was said to be kept underground for the brutality of it. Snippets of the video were shown to us viewers. A reflection in the video led the team to another murder case.

In the Marui Case, a boyfriend murdered his girlfriend and claimed not to remember anything. The video recording of the tragic event was said to be haunted ala The Ring and whoever watches it will suffer tragedy. In the Ami Case, a boy was said to murder his mother and younger sister.

Reviews and comments promised that the movie was scary, chilly and there I was, bored to death. Nowadays, most scary movies depended on jump scares and there's none of that. The movie sometimes lingers on something and I was thinking something's going to jump on the screen only for it to move to another shot. I do have to applaud the director for sticking to the documentary style. It had the feel of Cannibal Holocaust in which viewers may believe that it's from a real event. For me, Marui Video took inspiration from lots of other movies. There's The Ring, The Grudge, The Cannibal Holocaust, and so on.

I was waiting for the "a video evidence of a very brutal and graphic murder" which was said to be shown in the last 20 minutes of the movie and the story was built up towards it and yet, I wasn't impressed. Why? Because we had seen snippets of the videos. So, there's nothing much to show after it.

A whole bunch of nothing...

The movie was basically like these "haunted lactation explorations" tv shows, where nothing happens for 40 minutes, but then they exaggerate the reaction for the smallest whisper or a creak. It starts well introducing the case and building the atmosphere, but then it plateaus till the end and gets more and more boring with every minute.

Have to say though, the directing truly made it seem like a realistic reportage. Appreciate how each footage they showed made sense, and I never questioned "who filmed it?" - these small things that completely ruin the immersive experience.

The acting was also good. Because of the intentional often low quality shots and shaky camera, we could not really grasp the full performance with all its detail, but it was good enough for what it wanted to present.

They way they presented the story itself was painfully basic.
