It's a fun watch!
I was always under the impression that JDramas had a weird factor about them. I haven't been able to find a lovey-dovey, heart-fluttering drama...until this one. Now it isn't the traditional slow-burner romance in a sense that they got straight to the kinship, and I felt like the romance came afterwards. it's also not cliche like kdramas, but I loved seeing the leads together as much as possible. It is also so funny!!! LOL! There were some funny bits sprinkled throughout the drama. Hated the addition of a second male lead. Like why? Ofcourse two of the popular guys secretly loved the weirdest chick in the school.
I loved reading books when I was younger as well. So I loved her character. I also loved how straightforward she is. Quite refreshing for some of the other dramas I've seen. I love the kinship as well. I find the series very easy to watch. I know one of the reviews said it was surface level but that works for me.

It is what it is...
There are some genres of shows and movies that are just what they are.You go into them knowing what to expect - a whole lot of nothing.
Yet you stick around and watch it any way.
This is another one of those types of shows.
It's a ridiculous story if we put it IRL, but in drama land it's feasible.
The chemistry between the leads was decent, at times almost realistically believable.
I often wonder how easily flushed they may get on or off the camera when having to say some of these lines or act in such a way.
This is one you watch when you want mindless fluff, no real thinking involved.
No angst, no melodrama, nothing more than a way to pass the time.
Don't go into this with high expectations (or even low) and you might enjoy it.
This goes on my fluff list .. along with shows like Coffee and Vanilla, Kakafukaka, Ase to Sekken .. a few others escape me at the moment, but you should get the idea.
