Easy watch
This was a quick binge watch of easy sweetness. You know how you sometimes just want to watch something purely for enjoyment's sake, not having to think too much, keeping characters straight or being let down by a confusing or open-ended conclusion? That's what I found here. For the first time in a long time, I looked forward to watching the next episode in a show. Call me superficial, but there you have it.The story surely wasn't anything that we haven't seen a million times before, but there was something so endearing about the characters here. I thought the actors all did an adequate job, these weren't roles that required a lot of acting skill, so I'll address the characters themselves. I find that, for the most part, when I watch something, I have to care about at least someone, to want to see what is going to happen to them and how they are going to develop. I found that in this show.
Seung Min - your "average Joe". This was a character that was not popular, not unpopular, but just someone that no one would give a second thought to. He was perfectly content to like Ji Na from afar. I liked how the character was not a social outcast and how he just seemed to feel comfortable in his own skin. And once the contract began, I really enjoyed watching his enjoyment of being a boyfriend. He was excellent boyfriend material, and he did some very sweet things for and with Ji Na. The couple of interactions he had with his dad were sweet as well.
Ji Na - the popular idol trainee. Beautiful, sure. At the beginning she seemed lonely to me. She had a couple of friends but the way it was filmed, we saw that everyone else just watched her from afar. I think she was popular for how she looked, not for who she was. She was nice and didn't seem to bask in her popularity.
Hyung Tak - the baseball jock, inconsiderate boyfriend. Even though he thought that Ji Na couldn't possibly like someone else, I really liked this character and the way that he matured. You never know what you have until it's gone.
Han Na - though she looked like she had just sucked on a lemon for most of the show, this was a character that I just wanted to slap. Toxic.
Ba Ul - This character was all kinds of over-the-top. Initially, it was off-putting, but then I got used to him and enjoyed his cuteness.
Min Ji - the friendly, supportive best friend. Sweetness and light and enjoying Ba Ul.
So, this isn't a show that's going to tax your brain or change the world in any way, but I found it to be a fun and peaceful watch. I laughed, I teared up, and I'm glad I took the time for it.

Kinda clichè but really cute
I'm really surprised about the fact that this drama has such a low rate, i actually loved it. Even tho i found some of the things clichè i really appreciated how the dra,a was done. It was really cute from the begginning to the end, there was a lot of time that i was that angry that my blood boiled, but also a lot of time that my heart just melted of the cuteness of these two. They're my ideal relationship, and oh god if i'm a fan of the girlboss and softboy kinda relationship. Loved the slowburn of her feelings, and the development of his feelings from just something like a celebrity crush to actually love. I would totally rewatch it and i think it's rrally underrated.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A story filled with one too many clichés to make it a top tier web drama.
To start of, It's hard to expect a very intricate storyline when a web-drama features generally only around 1-2 hours of content even so this drama is able to keep the viewer interested due to the very good cast and of course the production crew. I would recommend this drama to anyone that is just looking for 1-2 hours of enjoyable drama time.Be My Boyfriend is a short & enjoyable drama with a story that is practically copy & paste of all the cliché moments from any other rom/com school drama put into a web drama format. You will enjoy all the scenes between the leads as their relationships progress, although towards the end you might feel like some things doesn't make sense for this story and was just added because why not add another cliché (they could've cut it at episode 13 and added the latter half of episode 15 as the ending)
Even with the lacking story with the enjoyable cast that portray their characters very well, especially the goofy friends and the visuals of the female lead it makes it a very enjoyable watch. To add to this the music is very upbeat and is good at adding more emotion to the correct scenes.
I'm giving this drama an 8 as the overall watch was very enjoyable and easy to rewatch since its shorter, although a bit too many clichés the cast's connection makes up for a mediocre story (which can't be that in-depth anyways due to the length of web dramas)

Nothing special :/
short & sweet —
Just to let everyone know, this story is a spin-off of the popular web-drama “Best Mistake,” and there are some minor cameos at the start, but that’s it.
Ultimately, this show had nothing more to offer than an unnecessary love triangle and cliché writing, some characters were selfish, others were caught in the crossfire of other characters decisions but it wasn’t anything to push you at the edge of your seat and stay entertained, idk what more to say honestly lol, acting wasn’t bad — could’ve been better, cinematography wasn’t the best, mostly filtered as most kdramas are, OST wasn’t terrible but wasn’t good either imo, pacing wasn’t bad but character development wasn’t tethered for the most part, I will say for the show overall, I’ve seen worse lol, but if you’re someone who likes some cliché love triangle fluff in the span of 15 episodes, I think this drama is perfect for you, that’s all I’ve got!

Nice little cliché romances? Oh yeah
Life is often clichéd, so I have nothing wrong with this little romance. It may be that many of the critics who write here have an exciting life between space flights and dragon fights. I, however, know life as it is depicted here. That's why it was pleasant to see the story arc presented in a believable way. Just as we experienced it at school, early love, crushes, "little" rivals, maybe our own lives were also clichéd.
I found the actors believable. The characterizations were also believable, one even thought to recognize certain schoolmates. The actors- I know little about career paths and possibly other films the actors have done.
The happy ending was nice, better than it usually happens in real life, but that's also a reason to watch such kitsch romances.

Short but sweet!
Just finished watching this drama. Really enjoyed it throughout, but wow, the episodes were so short compared to any other k-drama I've watched! Each episode is only around 12 minutes, and there are a total of 15 episodes. This equates to just over 3 hours total. I watched it over 4 days, by watching 3-4 episodes a day. I'm used to the typical 16 epsiode dramas where each episode is around an hour, so this one was a bit of a change.
What I loved about this drama was the fact that pretty much everything goes how you would expect. You can predict everything that's going to happen, and I just love how everything goes how I wanted. Sure, it's a bit overused and there were a few parts that made me cringe, but I've been looking for a drama like this for so long and this one fits it perfectly.
The acting was cute and done very well, as in I could barely tell the cast was actually in their late 20s! The characters were also all very likeable, apart from the one jealous girl who ended up not being very nice.
I really liked the music which fit the theme really well, even though they did reuse the same few tracks a lot. Unlike other dramas where the music kind of fades into the background, the music in this drama stays in your head.
There were a couple of episodes near the end (think it was ep12 and ep13?) that started to lose me, but luckily the last two episodes saved it.
I absolutely recommend watching this drama to anyone considering it. Even if you end up not liking it, since it's so short, you won't feel like you wasted your time by the end!

Fun, Feel Good Web Drama to Pass the Time
i watched this drama because siwoo and hyunseung acted together in shooting stars and they looked adorable together!if you love romantic cliches and need a quick, pick me up web drama, be my boyfriend is the drama to watch! i loved it because i felt butterflies, even when there were typical drama formula moments. baul and minji are so cute. the music was sort of awkward at times, but that’s my only minor complaint. overall, i’d rewatch if i was bored at home and had an extra hour or two on my hands.

A New Dawn
Due to the striking and unmatched popularity and brilliance of the original series, this spinoff was birthed, challenging its creators on a hasty race to attempt to top and dethrone its predecessor. An impossible challenge in hindsight, but through sheer perseverance, talent and hard-work, they managed to create this unrivaled anomaly, breaking all kinds of traditional convictions in its way and setting the bar on an unprecedented level, a new standard to be inspired by. This drama is a worthy celebration of true human ingenuity and artistry. It makes me wonder what humans will achieve next?Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Solid story.
Solid storyline, Great character development especially for Hyungtak and Seungmin, I could really see both of them grow as characters in this web drama. I absolutely loved Minji, I just wish she maybe got more screen time. If you like romance, I'd recommend this to you, it's not lacking a plot and it doesn't feel rushed or too extra with tons of plot twists, it's just easy to watch and enjoyable. Out of most web dramas I've watched this is one of the ones that is the least lacking and feels like the acting is good. I enjoyed this!!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Cute
This drama was really simple and cute. I loved that it was very lighthearted. I have to give an applause for the main actors, they were amazing. I loved them in shooting stars, so as soon as I found out they acted together in this drama too, I couldn't resist myself. They are great upcoming actors, I can't help myself but to support them. Obviously, this drama did not have a very interesting plot, but it was like a simple cup of coffee in the morning. This drama made me blush and smile. I also do not believe an agency like Oh Jina's exist in real life but oh well, they tried to make idol entertainment less scary haha.

Nothing groundbreaking, but fun.
As other reviewers have said, the plot is very cliche. The acting is actually pretty good overall though, and I did feel invested in the characters.I especially liked the ML, who was very humble and sincere - not popular and stuck with a hopeless crush but not self-pitying about it. The FL was grounded enough not to seem too vain, so it was believable that she began to soften toward the ML and his friends. There were also a few funny parts I liked too. It’s nothing new and different, but if you’re looking for something short and sweet you might want to check it out.
