Insightul, but not executed well

This story tackles the important societal issues that are very much prevalent in our society today from four different perspectives. It talks about gender inequalities, the outcomes of celebrity scandals, problematic relationships, and more.

I found this drama rather insightful as I get to see a more broad view of these issues and see things from a different perspective. I'm quite an open-minded person that has their own views but is welcome to new opinions that I find quite interesting.
What particularly sparked my interest was the main plot about the idol scandal. This topic is quite a big issue in the entertainment industry, and if you follow the Korean entertainment industry throughout this year, then you would know the issues that have raised over the last couple of years. This drama gave us an insight into what really goes on behind the scenes and really gets you reflecting.

Whilst I enjoyed all of the plots for each character, I think there was not enough background for the other characters, especially Han Ik's. I enjoyed the main plot, but a lot of the other plots went back-and-forth which made me feel confused with it ending very abruptly without seeing much of the outcomes of all of the characters.

Han Sung Yun definitely carried this drama well and her acting was brilliant

This season is much more mature than the previous seasons which is great because it feels like we're growing with the drama. I would definitely recommend this for the reason being to understand more about the society that we live in and to gain something valuable out of it because I sure did

missed the mark

After solid first season and okay sequel, the third installment of It's Okay to be Sensitive series is simply confusing.
It felt like the writers intended this season to be more mature and have less cookie cutter webdrama feel, but it backfired. The open endings maybe were supposed to be realistic, but execution made them just flustrating. I liked the characters and wanted to know them better but the writers gave us crumbs in terms of developements or conclusion. Acting was good and so is the OST.
If the story was supposed to be darker, the only way the darkness showed up was cinematography. I had to up brightness on my device. And one of the episodes is straight up weird, the story is very 'how could you come up with something like this?'.
Overall, it's an okay drama but I won't rewatch it.

this series always talks about important issues and this season was the heaviest but their delivery was lacking. for one thing they repeated their "big" plot too much and they kept repeating scenes, then they added another plot before the last but again they left it and went back to repeating their big plot. so the ending was one big cliffhanger

Han Sung Yun was the only great actor among them, she carried the show alone tbh, the 2nd actress was tooo bubbly that it was too much, the "player" guy was trying too much and the other guy was almost like a background character, he had a story that not all men are "manly" but it was less than a flashback.

so I think the directing this time lacked, though it was better than s2 cuz I don't remember that one ;D

the ost was really nice, a full rnb mood I liked it.

Something different from usual web dramas fare

This web drama series focuses on more taboo issues in Korean society. There are 3 seasons including this 2020 season. I have to defend this particular season as even though its criticism is valid, I think there is something unique that this season offer which is rare among web dramas (including its previous seasons).
I really enjoyed this series the most mainly due to the storyline of Do Eun and the different directing and editing style it took that most web dramas do not usually do. The topics dealt in this season other than sexism includes unexpected pregnancy, idols dating and mental health issues. As compared to other seasons, I do think the acting for this season is the best.
Do Eun's storyline is really well-executed and the focus of the series was undoubtedly about her. This includes her struggles with mental health and her journey in the entertainment industry. As compared to the other series, her story definitely hit the most for me emotionally, not because I can relate to her pain (I am nowhere near being involved in entertainment industry, nor experiencing mental health issues), but through effectively showing her past hurts and how the effect lingers in her current life. *spoilers?* One particular sequence that really conveyed her character's struggles was when she was re-living/hallucinating those traumatic experiences, which I thought the directing and editing was unconventional among web dramas.
Its flaws were mainly about its other characters story development and its lackluster ending for all of its characters through just words on the screen. As compared to other seasons, this had fewer episodes, and maybe if there were more, the ending/pacing/storyline could have been better.
This is where I felt Young Min could have been given more development, as the series only gave us few glimpses of his struggles of being the "adult"/sensible one in the group, expectations of men in society/sexism faced as a male in Korean society.
Even despite its flaws, I think if you are looking for a different kind of web drama, that provides a lot of feels and interesting perspectives on taboo issues/topics, this would be one to explore.
*A few of the instrumental tracks are kinda interesting too, reminds me of 'me and Earl and the dying girl' meets Wes Anderson*
